Finished up Greedfall on Sunday, just in time to get my hands on Sovereign Syndicate (launched on Monday). So far, so good.

I bought Greedfall on a sale just before BG3 launch. Went through BG3 and Phantom Liberty, now I finally have some time to catch up and I’m having fun. Love the setting, the plot is interesting, the NPCs are okay. Sure, it’s not on the same level as those two but it is to be expected given the studio size. Overall it’s a solid game, worth checking out, especially if you get it on a sale.

It’s a victim of EA’s marketing team - it’s a much better game than its reputation would suggest, yet it never delivered due to all the hype that was created before the release. And it taught me to ignore the marketing stuff and just wait for the release to check on the game and not my overhyped expectations.

What I ended up doing - I set her laptop with a static IP and added TCP and UDP routes for port 53 (the one used for DNS queries) to 8.8.8.8 - no complaints since ;) I use a cheap Mikrotik router between my ISP one and the actual network (well, a NAS and a Unifi AP, the rest is wireless) so doing it was easy ;)

Windows are structural weaknesses. Geth do not use them.

Both were overdone and empty-ish (southern Velen swamps gave me PTSD)

The Original devs released “War for the Overworld” a few years ago. It’s as close to DK as it could without copyright issues

Got Cyberpunk (GOG one) running with raytracing and mods via Lutrix + ProtonGE. Smooth enough on 3080/UWQHD

Finally got 2077 running on Linux, now waiting for Phantom Liberty and CET update to get all my mods working ;) Need to build on those 500 hours.

Also, I started Greedfall. Lots of running around but so far it’s solid.
