If you’ve read all the OG Dune content, I say go for it. They aren’t at the same level, but they’re… Fine. Get it from the library or wherever and try it. Go in with low expectations and possibly get pleasantly surprised, or never pick them up again.

Turns out I liked the game only because of what I thought the game could be instead of what it actually was.

I never played Star Citizen, but this is kinda where I ended up with No Man’s Sky. I played it at launch and again earlier this year and there’s definitely some fun to be had but nothing fits together right, or feels fully realized. NMS lost a coherent vision of the game at some point and eventually it just made me itch to play better games that were more focused.

Totally. I had a few runs on it while it was in the unstable branch and the new mechanics are great, but firing it up after the stable release and seeing all the love put into older map locales really made it feel like a brand new game.

My favorite of all time is Psyduck because I identify with him and frequently have to control myself from freaking out when minor things go wrong.

I also like Squirtle and Turtwig lines.

Pokopia is easily my favorite game in the series too, just because it lets you work together instead of battling, and it made me appreciate some others like Ditto or Piplup.

However this site had a “duel” between Spock and Porthos for best crew member and it just made me laugh. The legendary first officer of the original Enterprise that saved Earth countless times or a cheese loving dog famous for causing diplomatic incidents by pissing on sacred trees… Tough one.

All I know is that Sisko, Bashir, and O’Brien all identify Section 31 as non-Starfleet assholes that need to be stopped at all costs. Discovery has Pike practically saluting Section 31 genocidal Empress Georgiou and revering the black badges in a way I’ll never forgive it for.

I think DS9 did Section 31 right, as the bad guys to be foiled, as anathema to Starfleet’s ideals, but yeah every other show seems to miss the point.

Enterprise established it as a result of Klingons experimenting with human augment DNA and it getting out of hand. It probably didn’t need to be addressed in universe, but I thought it was a fun retcon.

Ugh, Discovery just made no sense in a million ways. My (least) favorite is how Control was sentient AI like a century before Data was a thing, or even M-5. That and every time Section 31 was acknowledged as Starfleet black ops instead of a rogue agency of assholes.

Hitman wasn’t really a sandbox until Freelancer mode was added. The story mode has always been pretty linear. Same level order, same objectives every time. I’m not expecting my choices to matter to the narrative, but I am expecting to be able to choose between quiet and loud, lethal and non-lethal etc. to finish the given mission which should be a pretty low bar.

If there isn’t a ton of play style variety like Hitman then it will suck. Play your way is the fun part. I’m a SASO type player and that fits into a more realistic sim but Bond also goes loud and wacky a lot in the movies too.

I haven’t watched a single trailer for this, but I’m hyped solely because IOI did great things with Hitman, and being a (movie) spy is similar except your objectives aren’t always assassination.

Couldn’t really care less about the Bond angle, but since it’s a reboot of his story, don’t really think that matters much.

It means making yourself more attractive by smashing your bones and micro dosing meth while receiving payouts from Peter Thiel
