Just try to clean the keyboard on a MacBook, though. If you shut it down, it will start back up again as soon as you start pressing keys 😅

4 hours of focused work is generally the maximum, in my opinion. I usually add 4 more hours of low-intensity work on top, to keep up with all the administrative stuff etc.
This is highly dependent on sleeping well and eating healthily, though, and on taking at least one day off per week, if not two.
I’m of the opinion that working hard is foolish, I’m focused on working well. Some days I can do 5 hours, some days I can do 5 minutes. That’s okay, no work is always better than bad work.
Can confirm, as a woman, this is a very good idea. Having brightly colored hair actually communicates a few things at once :
I cannot stress that last point enough. These days, every girl I know has her radar set to max to get as far as possible from “alpha males”, because they’re just incredibly annoying, self-important pricks. The more you can do to signal you’re not one of them, the better.
I’m pretty sure I just haven’t handled large enough quantities of it for that to happen. I’ve never installed it myself, I’ve only had to take it down for minor roof repairs, and put it back if afterwards.
That’s probably what I’m going to end up getting, but it doesn’t seem to have the same commitment to repairability FairPhone does.
I do like that I’m finally going to be able to make my own watch face so that I can be as weird as I want (chiefly, Solar Time and Feels-Like temperature)
Things seem to be moving the other way with the tariffs. Framework is not shipping to the US anymore, Fairphone is probably not even going to try.
Thankfully no, I do wear gloves and a mask when I’m handling this stuff ! Im just saying it’s not going to kill you.
Really waiting for someone to make the Fairphone of smart watches…
When I was a child I actually learnt quite a bit about my computer by reading all the settings of Windows XP and customizing them.
I hope this doesn’t prevent someone from the next generation to do the same thing…
Okay then I guess I was taught wrong 😅 always heard it told as right after his birth !?
Prove what ? An allegory ? Prove any of the 12 ordeals of Heracles, then.
Come wearing sandals without socks, fight the system ! Refuse to conform.
I don’t care about Jesus being white as much as I care about him not being a baby. The fishes and loaves is a baby Jesus thing, not a beardy Jesus thing !
If you don’t open by flirting then it shouldn’t be a land mine at all. Also, be mindful of the context. Most people don’t really want you to hit them up at the sidewalk, but it’s probably okay at the park, as long as you don’t shove your face close to mine right away 😂
Honestly, as a woman, I think it’s more about knowing when it’s appropriate to talk to people.
It’s okay if people hit me up at the park or the bar. It’s not okay when I’m doing my groceries in a hurry, or when I’m crossing the street 😆 and if you get “rejected” (sometimes it’s not a hard rejection, my social schedule is just already full), just take it well and go talk to someone else.
I don’t think this is rocket science, and apart from some teenagers whistling me from across the street (which I always pretend I can’t hear), almost all adults get this right.
66.6% of all traffic is blocked with no functional impact on anything that I do
Okay. I’m convinced.
While this definitely is bad, I think people tend to be a bit unreasonable about this stuff.
Fiberglass is not asbestos, and by the way, asbestos is not uranium.
Do wear the proper PPE, yes, but also don’t be neurotic about it. Even full-time asbestos miners don’t always get related cancers. If you removed some without knowing, studies show you’ll be fine. Your body can and does eliminate asbestos, albeit very slowly.
And again, fiberglass is not asbestos, and doesn’t cause mesothelioma. It’s still not recommended to breathe it in, especially not on the regular, but you don’t need to live in fear of it.
I’ll always remember when I accidentally bent a CPU pin and had to manually straighten it with pliers… it was terrifying 😭 (but that CPU is still working perfectly in my computer 7 years later !)
Can’t the police just take the license plate and file the ticket in later at the precinct ? That’s what they often do here in France afaik.
