I can understand this. This is a server hosted by an individual who doesn’t want the potential legal headaches that may arise. Everyone is free to make another account on another instance, or create their own instance.

You can always host your own instance. Then you can choose what is blocked and what isn’t.
And so it begins
Also, who eats their pizza with a salad?
I’ll have to disagree there. When you Favourite a post, the person that posted it gets a notification about the fact, while if you Bookmark something no notification is sent. In effect you are telling the person that you “Liked” their post.
Also, looking at the Explore section of Mastodon the following message is shown at the top of the feed:
These are posts from across the social web that are gaining traction today. Newer posts with more boosts and favorites are ranked higher.
So those Favourites are used by the algorithm to rank posts. Bookmarks are totally private and only used to save posts for your own use.
I don’t see it that way. There are separate options to Favourite or Bookmark a post. To me Bookmarking something is so you can refer to it later, although nothing is stopping you using Favourites that way.
I recently got my first FreeSync monitor and it’s the best thing ever. Everything looks so smooth!
Just came to the comments page and it said “You must log in or register to comment.” I was already signed in 💀
Wasted? I’ve browsed more dank memes than all of my ancestors combined.
You better check to see if the app is correct though.
Dark Reader is one of my must haves. Turns dark mode on for every site. If a particular site already has its own native dark mode you can turn the extension off for just that site. Not perfect in all cases but works beautifully for most pages you view.
EDIT: Tap To Tab is really good if you are using a laptop without a mouse. Just double tap the trackpad to open a link in a new tab.
There is a save button, looks like a star (on the desktop Lemmy).
What tutorial?
When there was an influx of users during the Reddit blackout, they said that they were getting lots of trolls and they couldn’t keep up with the moderation. Lemmy.world and Sh.itjust.works had the most traffic and were letting people sign up without vetting so the Beehaw admins decided to defederate those communities.
I hope it works! I’m so over posts just spawning into a page that is already loaded.
Hey, I had a lot of fun playing this! Also mixed with periods of rage. But fun! And also rage.
They said bad movie, not cinematic masterpiece.
Waterworld. It’s so terrible but at the same time I love it.
Another Australian here. Our water is safe to drink out of the tap. I drink tap water daily and have so all my life.
