I only watch what’s in my subscriptions. Now and then I’ll add something new to see if I like it or remove something I don’t enjoy.
Not just destroying the present, but destroying their future.
1-2 days is enough to learn the basics, but I doubt you’ll be as nearly as productive as with something you’ve been using for years. Keep in mind that new languages also mean new frameworks, etc, some which take years to actually master, but at least months to get a good handle on them.
Also, from my understanding, Rust is a bit of a paradigm shift.
Sure, but it’s a lot more work for you to get to a point where you can be an active contributor.
Something you shouldn’t have to do in order to use the internet.
There are browser plugins that let you change your user-agent request header to masquerade as another browser (e.g., Chrome).
I agree with the sentiment, but in his linked project he says this:
Somewhat surprisingly, Trifecta does not touch the images it serves. This is a bit sad since it might be useful for the software to create thumbnails for example. The security record of most image libraries however is sufficiently depressing that it is not worth the cost to do any kind of conversion.
Apparently leaking EXIF data to the internet is not a concern of his.

He thinks he’s people.
There’s ads on the Lock Screen now? Ugh.
Just tell them they run on coal.
It’s radical because fewer and fewer people are empathetic these days.
I’m sure I’ve seen them in the UK. I can’t recall where else.
Ya, I was going to “offer” much more than my left arm. But it wouldn’t do anything. The changes need to be much more systemic(?) than that.
I wouldn’t give up cheeseburgers, though. But if I only had them once a year, I’d probably survive.
They actually have these things now called real trees that are perfect for discarding every year after you are done with them.
Android had a dedicated comma button… I think where the mic button is by the space bar. And on Android you could press and hold letters for punctuation, not just accented characters.
It annoys me that I can’t long press for punctuation on iPhone SwiftKey, like I could with Android. Also, no comma button.
So the cause isn’t that people can see your downvotes, it’s that some people are just dicks.
Words to remember.
I haven’t dug into it, but I think that activity is just because it’s forked?
