Why does a game cost that much to make? I’m not saying every game should be an indie, but given what indies can accomplish it’s a little ridiculous to spend $125 million.
Mortal Kombat. I know it’s technically inferior but I find the style and characters a lot of fun.
They’re also doing the same thing with Google Play - arguing that collecting user emails for osm login doesn’t count as collecting data.
I didn’t even think about the software costs. Makes sense. The whole “you don’t really own your games.”
Albino is only used as a term when it’s a deviation from the species norm usually. There are all white cave bugs.
Eh, you’re talking what, $1500 for a headset and rig? Even if you have 4 setups at one of those kiosks the cost to have someone running it is going to quickly outpace the cost of the hardware.
That’s awesome. I would love to see some new content on a similar (or the same) engine.
Voice control for activities will no longer be available on Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 devices. You’ll need to use the buttons on your device to start, stop, pause, and resume activities. You can still voice control activities on Pixel Watches.
Wow. Removing an existing feature from an older and cheaper device and leaving it only on the newer, more expensive device?
Yup. We had one but after we had a smouldering fire in our outdoor trash can we got several for different points in the house. We also have escape ladders in the bedrooms.
I love Tidal + Plex. I already had a Plex server set up, but the integration with tidal is great. Good music quality, pays the artists well, and no gaps in the library that aren’t also there in the other services. When you add Plex you can then fill in those gaps with your own music files.
Specifically just anti-cheat that chooses not to support Linux at this point.
If anything it is dangerous as it will still exit even if changes cannot be saved.
I moved to Tidal + Plex. Loving it so far.
Ha yeah I run openSUSE on my laptop and Debian on my server.
Maybe I’m old but I’m really getting annoyed with apps becoming so bloated with features. The podcast integration was part of why I left Spotify. I was tired of having podcasts pop up on my home screen. Tidal luckily is free from this for the moment.
“Do one thing and do it well.”
For the first point… kind of but not really. Having an account on a second small instance still gives you the backup, and if one of the two goes down you can create an account on another instance as a new backup.
For the defederation, nah. I like lemdro.id because they haven’t really defederated from anyone except for spam instances, and they’re small enough that no one has targeted them for defederation.
Two main reasons…
That’s about it.
How can they say it “failed financially” four days after launch?
Well I’ll just wait for the ultimate edition to go on sale for $50 or whatever.
I guess this is kind of the logical conclusion of the “never buy unless it’s more than 50% off” attitude.
