He later apologized. I think he is crazy, but his contributions to what we have now are very important.
Rule of thumb I adopted: If you never update arch, it will never break.
As the creator of the GNU Hurd community, I approve. Prepare everyone’s old thinkpads or old dell laptops, and prepare some Ethernet cables.

4·13 days agoGemini is probably going to go the way of the Hurd sadly, IMO. It is a niche that only privacy enthusiasts and FOSS enthusiasts wish to succeed. The Hurd is doing pretty good for how little people are working on it. If anyone is interested checkout my community, which is centered around the GNU Hurd.

In defense of the creators of Unix, you cannot fuck plan9.
You can always use a invidious instance to watch YouTube. Last time I tried it was not bad, but some instances use anubis so I cannot watch YouTube without JavaScript.
And you thought exiting vim was hard. Honestly, I did not know this existed, thanks.
I love pkgsrc. Thought flatpak, snaps, and appimages solved fragmentation, well pkgsrc solved OS fragmentation across ALL UNIX-LIKE SYSTEMS. I want netBSD to keep working on their rumpkernels as well, so we run their drivers ON ANY OS.
(I wanted to put emphasis to show how amazing NetBSD is)
