There are places where natural gas is used for heating and cooking by combustion. These tasks can also be done with electricity for the power source and then we’ll be overall cleaner. However the transition is a massive task and requires a lot of convincing (e.g. that cooking with induction is as good or better even than gas, heat pump costs less in the long run).
That’s super adorable!
I work hard but my new company seems to respect work life balance so far. So far I’ve been working more on the tip of the screw, but it depends on the goal of the project. Almost all of the features of the screw can be modified to meet the needs. A big part of the work is to verify that a change or innovation can be produced at a good quality level.
Screw R&D engineer. It’s weirdly specific 😅
This year I went scuba diving for the first time! Also, I did my first job switch, been good so far but I constantly doubt my abilities. Also first time daily driving linux recently 😉
At that point just a tad more and they’re going vegan because the cows are probably vaccinated, then they cut down their (bp propaganda) carbon footprint in the confusion 😂
That’s the stupidest you’ve seen all week, so far
You can start the switch early to get used to it 😉
They’re playing the long game, at this rate they’ll soon have no winter to worry about, it will be 25°C in the winter and there’s no heating needed so no more energy demand spikes! /S
IMO her argument is that we need to rework the system, providing more people with better access to public transport so everyone can reduce their damage without needing to sacrifice their day to day function, so it’s really irrelevant whether our damage is more or less in comparison to hers.
Physical activity. Going to the gym or going for a run. Watch movies/series. Lazing around while telling myself that it’s ok not to be productive.
