I must be blind, I just check the about section and can’t see it mentioned but as someone else said, it’s on title of post

Who said it was an airdrop alternative? Maybe a reason why it is called “Local” send

There is also “consent o matic”, banner does appear but go away in less than a second and auto decline as possible. Does not work on 100% of website but still does a good job.

I’m no tech expert and I haven’t done this for a while so don’t know if that change but they were more packet loss/errors (not sure proper terms, not English native). For most files this isn’t an issue but was for more sensitive ones like programs/iso…
Battery also suffered more from this used, keeping phone charged while tethering wasn’t good due to battery management system. But things could have changed.
Last point is that bad weather does affect cellphone reception.

Why would they propose free turbo mode with uploader status if it was an exit scam? I personally don’t think they will bother to do so since they are the largest pt by far, I would see a scam like that for small pt that are not able to get bigger. They probably received so much new uploaders status that they can’t keep up right now, according to their saying they are also writing new API. That being said, ygg team have never been seen as nice people but that was the same for t411 (most are probably from t411 anyway)

In MAS we trust! :D

Did you check photogimp? It’s gimp with Photoshop like user interface
Thanks 👍 and yes not my first language ;)
It can be numerous things, like misconfigured port forwarding on your router and/or torrent client on your side or on there side. This doesn’t mean that it blocks all handshake but it does limit how well your/there client will exchange data. Other possibility is that Client is set to a limit of a active connection (total or by torrent). It can keep some connection so that it will switch to another one when it will be done with other connections (because tracker is sending list of peers according to some timer, it doesn’t ask for new peers every time it has finished with one, probably to not overload tracker server with repeated queries). Those are the first reasons that come to my mind but probably are others possibilities.
Edit: I don’t personally think these are people/agencies logging data, agencies that try to enforce infringment will download data from you so they have proof that you are sharing.

Had to search as I never heard about thingino, seems helpful for a few cameras. Alternatively blocking internet access to camera would work just as good

As others advice, frigate is great. You can set this up under home assistant, which is a smart home open source OS/software and even if you have no plan of doing smart home, it is very handy as you can easily create automation which can send you notification with pics, will trigger an alarm, turn on lights… If you don’t already have device powerful enough to run frigate, I would advise to look for a mini pc with n100 or n150 processors, they are not very expensive (around 150€) and don’t consume much electricity (close to raspberry pi 5 while being more powerful).

Can’t answer sorry

Did you try darktable? Pretty decent open source alternative to lightroom

I can’t remember any name but search for f2f (friend to friend) p2p. Basically a private way to share files over p2p to limited people you have accepted without any use of tracker like P2P use

Oh ok, the first thing that comes to my mind is Kodi. Depending your pc it might be a bit slow but that should work.
Edit: are you on linux or windows? If windows, you should really consider linux. Old pc comes back to life with linux as it needs way less ressources than windows

I guess you meant something to act as a remote desktop? Something lightweight better than a remote desktop for your use case is to setup a FTP server or a samba share. You will then use some media player client to read from there
You can try captvty on desktop, it enables downloading available replay and many have English, French audio with subtitles in each languages.
Only thing is I don’t know it if requires to be in France to access it but vpn would solve that.
If you go on any French download website mentioned in fhym, look for files with “multi” so you will get subtitles in English.
