  • Okay, let’s say he stole the election just for the sake of an exercise. There are a metric fuckton of regime change examples where the US meddled with the elections of other countries for their own gain. Is Venezuela now the magical example where the US government did it simply out of the goodness of their hearts? Or is this just a convenient scenario where Maduro needed to go and the US just happened to be the ones to do it and that’s somehow totally cool? I mean, fuck the approval of Congress, international law, etc. amirite?

Venezuela’s issues and elections are for Venezuelans to decide, not parasitic imperialist scum. The mental gymnastics to support this one are on an Olympic level of stupid.

  • So she’s going to raise a brilliant mind that ends up having zero empathy or emotional intelligence? That’s going to be a miserable life for everyone involved.

“I got fired for no reason! I was a top performer!”

It’s because you’re an asshole that got along with no one at work. My dad was also a top performer but had empathy and compassion. He left a high-paying field because of miserable assholes with no emotional intelligence.

I worked somewhere that had a principal engineer that stuck around for years at a job. Everyone I talked to disliked them. Every single person. They were abrasive, argumentative, and not receptive to anyone’s ideas. There were even examples where they took credit for the work of others. The only reason they were kept around was because they had the ear of the CTO. When they finally left, everyone was publicly happy about their departure and we got to start undoing their shitty decisions.

Often times it’s simply who you know, not what you know.

  • I think part of it is that those supposed leftists don’t categorize all of those capitalists the same way. It’s like they view billionaire CEOs and landlords as different groups, when the reality is that they fall into the same capitalist bucket. So landlords being stripped of their hoarded properties so that everyone can have a home, is not viewed by them in the same critical light as a CEO that hoards wealth and exploits the working class.

I don’t have anything solid to back this up. It’s just my general observation. It all boils down to class consciousness and decoupling oneself from propaganda.
