Let’s not get into who should go and who should not. It is pointless. US has been deploying troops worldwide since decades, they can easily deploy some in Ukraine but they don’t want to.

Problem with talking about USA in this conflict is everytime immediately assumes that anyone accusing USA of anything is automatically supporting Russia.

I will go one step further. Most wars are started with a false flag operation.

This is my conspiracy theory with no evidence- 9/11, this thing, Pearl Harbor were all inside jobs. It is not that far fetched to think that governments would kill their own people to justify a war because they kill their soldiers anyways.

I agree with you on this but with some nuance. This thinking is correct and should be used on individual level. However, time has shown us that most humans are stupid and will resort to herd mentality. So, the pride quickly turns into nationalism.

We are talking about the war/defence industry which is a much newer thing when countries started selling weapons and such to other countries on a large scale and during their own non-war times, like the last 50 years of American history. If countries sold weapons to each other during WW2, it was because they were involved in the war themselves. Nowadays, it is just selling weapons and watching others burn each other down.

Predictions have been going on since forever about so many things. Doesn’t make it any truer. China is going to annex Taiwan, Russia is going to attack Europe, Iran is weeks away from nukes. Funnily, there are no predictions about USA doing stuff.

It is a war industry for the Western countries because the war is never on their soil. It is a defence industry for everyone else.

I have taken long breaks in my education (a pretty good one) due to being lazy depressed (being depressed but not sad per se, having executive dysfunction).

My friends have moved on from college and I am stuck. It always feels that my problems were not as important or as big to waste years of my life.

I have accepted the fact that it is my life and it is not a race but sometimes I do feel that it would have been much simpler and better if I had just completed my education while being miserable because I was miserable anyways.

I am kind of rambling because I don’t think such a deep and vast topic can be explained in a comment.
