Everything else has correct results except for them. Some of the entries were years since being changed, then all of a sudden pointed elsewhere. Quick to troubleshoot but quite annoying.

Yes but I wasn’t using CloudFlare at all. The domains were registered with Tucows and only quad9 had incorrect DNS lookups.

I used to use quad 9 but stopped using it after running into too many issues where it provided completely wrong results. Like not even outdated results just straight up wrong values that never existed, with both public websites as well as customer dns entries that I have managed for over a decade.

Block and move on. I think I’ve blocked most of ml at this point, but there are a few normal users. At least 2.

In theory yes, but in practice no. Most companies have implemented them in the dumbest ways and have not used them to increase security. They can pretty much all be worked around with your phone number or email. It should also be a choice not trying to trick users into using it.

Amazon can fuck right off with their prompt to save on every single login. Microsoft will still try to save passkeys even when you turn it off in windowsso you can use a password manager. They are just creating a fucking mess.

Everything on gigabit ethernet and everything is perfect. Wireless clients are ok but the occasional stutter. I wouldn’t even try the host being wireless. It’s more reliable that steam for me.

I only do 1080p60 streams because I’m playing on a TV if I’m not at my computer.

NP, you have to do it on the web interface, not in the app. You can also decrease the frequency if you don’t want it to last forever.

Netbird, it doesn’t use much for data for me, just disable expiry and it’ll stay connected. I would guess the third party app is part of the problem.

I switched to Fedora years ago. Linux mint has been not as good for a long time.

What a coincidence. Snaps being garbage is the reason I quit using Ubuntu.

If I remove a snap and install a deb package, I should not have to do multiple workarounds to stop it from being replaced with the snap package automatically. The firefox snap doesn’t work with a bunch of shit at all.

Play protect will remove things that google doesn’t like, not malware.

Working at a phone retail place, I have never seen malware not from the Play store. There is fuckloads of malware on the Play store. Most of it faking Google’s own apps which you’d think they would care about, but they don’t. All of that walks straight through play protect and in some cases on Samsung phones will abuse their security features to not let you remove it easily.

Fake apps that replace your home screen, display ads every 5 seconds, and close any app that you’re in are rampant on the Play store and play protect will do nothing about it.
