Always weird how excited people are to shoehorn blaming the US imo

Is he a pillar? What’s his name/handle?
I like how this one dude who helped make Skyrim multiplayer is the whole mod community in every Starfield post.
I’m not going to bat for Meta/Facebook.
But in my personal opinion, users choice is best for the users. If Threads ultimately has more and better content(because let’s face it, we’ve all seen LINUX BEATS WINDOWS IN 10 GAME TESTS! 100 different times already), users who want that content will have to create an account with Meta to access it. I’d rather use my Lemmy account and access Meta through that.
but again, just my opinion which ultimately doesn’t matter.
But any way you want to compare Threads activity/uses to Lemmy’s… It’s pretty obvious that Threads is already way bigger which was the main point I’d imagine.
I like how amplified divisive content, misinformation and content moderation is the “legitimate” risks like it’s not already an issue here.
I mean he’s always been like this, it’s just getting worse.
Before Donda passed, he already had the infamous “George Bush hates black people” thing and already ran up on stage at the EMAs to say he deserved the award, not the winners. I’m sure there’s plenty more documented exmaples , and in those days, the spotlight wasn’t on him 24/7.
Huh, guess I might technically live in a food dessert
low-income census tracts that are more than one mile from a supermarket in urban or suburban areas and more than 10 miles from a supermarket in rural areas.
True.
But do you believe the actual people commiting the genocide and manipulating Facebook shouldn’t be held accountable for their actions?
I’d imagine is because Myanmars situation is way more complicated than Facebook “undoubtedly caused a genocide”.
Seems like it’s getting trivialized to shit on Facebook
That’s a large portion of what’s here as well though…
Oh yeah, I’m not trying to blame a fan base over the actions of a group/artist. I also don’t know what type of music the original post is about. Maybe they do make music thats like “we are Nazis and so are you if you sre listening” and then I’d probably be understanding of consequences of being fans.
But that Nazi salute is definitely not the only documented racism by Pantera members, and I’m sure you know that.
That doesn’t make their fans racist imo
Oh yeah, at it’s root, it was already bad.
I’m always interested in a decent discussion or thought experiment though, even if I completely disagree with the other person. 99% are so lazy nowadays it’s not even interesting reading their copy/paste comments that have been recycled for the last decade
Even without defining those parameters, I also thought it was sort of strange to compare a political party vs country.
It’s an irrelevant question leading into a off topic point that you’d like to make. If you’d like to deliver a point, go ahead and comment it. Not my job to try and land your point for you though.
I’m confused by the whole comment line. Do I seem like I’m outraging, or have any strong opinions any way that needs to be clarified?
What a strange and leading question.
Nazis are obviously bad, but this comment makes me think that anyone you don’t like/like their comments/replies, you consider a Nazi?
I don’t know shit about this band/this type of music… is it actually the kind of music that only Nazis would listen to?
Like, if someone leaked a Pantera fan list, I guess I wouldn’t be on the wagon to ruin all their lives, even though Pantera is pretty well known for racism, shouting White Power and Nazi sautes n shit.
if you didn’t know about Pantera
It’s just interesting to me how radicalized the Internet is nowadays. Any excuse to bring up a way to shit on the US is jumped at. Especially on Lemmy. I’m starting to wondering if that’s the point of Lemmy as well.
It’s not like the small communities here are surviving.
