Why would they need to declare anything? They already are pivoting away from fossil fuels as hard as they can.

N95 was my phone when my friend got the iPhone One. I remember uselessly arguing that my N95 also played videos and music and all that iPhone stuff as well… Except, it was so fucking slow to take videos.
I remember standing in the street and seeing a massive huge brawl outside of a pub, loads of people doing all sorts of crazy shit and I was standing there desperately trying to record a video while the shitty, sluggish N95 missed it all.
That experience really scarred me because now I’m obsessed with the absolute quick-draw features of modern phones - like the Google Pixel.
I don’t even know if this is true, but I’d love to know more.
Maybe we’re worth £4 a month, but they just decided to pull a higher price out of their ass to dissuade everyone from paying.
I suspect the small amount of people who decide to pay will cost more in infrastructure, and causes more headaches to meta anyway.
I understand that’s what people need to believe.
Did you read the entire sentence “the British occupying forces in Berlin”
British. In Berlin.
Who do you think had lots of curry powder?
Actually, I’m going to add something to my last reply.
“not wanting to be drowning in ads” is in no way shape or form a political decision.
If you mean “because adverts are capitalism” then you’re part of the deeply naive problem.
It’s perfectly plausible - because it literally has happened - for people to construct a platform under our system (which is also hybrid anywat) that allows for social media to exist without adverts.
You’re literally the kind of person when I mean when I talk about trying too shoe-horn politics into things when it doesn’t belong.
I see you can’t understand the difference between zealotry and normal discussion.
“I don’t want ro drowning in ads” doesn’t have to mean “but trump is Hitler evil Jews did this blah blah everyone who isn’t of my opinion is a murderer”
The British do too. Like we have to top five healthiest teeth in the world.
Americans need to stop confusing their memes foe actual knowledge and experience of the world.
British invention anyway. Curry powder from the British occupying forces in Berlin.
Gern gesehen.
I guess it depends on how big the block is to begin with.
I’m not buying multiple kilograms of cheese in one setting.
Yeah, this is common belief but it’s not completely true. The egg is fertilised by either an X or Y sperm, and will develop for a couple of months as a kind of intersex thing.
What would be ovaries develop into testes, but for example, no fallopian tube of uterus would have been developed.
Have you ever heard of a “knife” before?
That’s the main thing I hate about Lemmyverse is that the zealots and puritans came over too.
They always think you mean someone else when you say “please stop constantly trying to shoehorn your politics into everything”
Renewables. Not solar.
Critical thinking isn’t my strong point?
Nighttime. Winter.
Even if solar power was free it still wouldn’t fucking work.
It will never work during those times.
So nuclear - which is clean and sustainable - can phase out the fossil fuels that have to be burned during the nighttime and winter.
Or did you think that the cost of solar panels dropping correlated with a perfect drop in energy costs for everyone?
“critical thinking skills” twat.
Solar still doesn’t work at all night, no matter how cheap it gets.
It’s not very useful for most of Northern Europe and birth America during the winter months. Even if it was free you’d still need alternatives.
No it doesn’t.
The price of solar can’t continue on this trend forever. There’s a point of diminishing returns.
We provide a good example.
What if you told us that… Would that be in any way correct?
Good. We should be in the nuclear age now with an electric infrastructure already in place and looking forward fusion and renewables.
Trying to go from fossil fuels to renewables is too difficult a step.
