I personally dont think it will succeed in actually reducing the labor force that much. Its the eyeballs, brains and finger dexterity they wont match for quite some time. We can see a problem and respond with appropriate novel solutions. I mean just stuff falling over and all the other everyday things, we do that aren’t on thr official agenda. Theyll have 1 real guy following around the bucket of bolts fixing his mistakes.

Since its not like the cpu or gpu is going to change, they can tune a power supply to produce as little waste heat at expected power delivery ranges. If its in the path of the air in the cooling solution, it should be fine. The additional heat load should bet a drop in the bucket and likely a degree or two of overall system temp rise at most.
The advantages of no external brick falls in line with the ease of use priority valve has had with this design. Its not going to pull the device off a shelf, and its not going to get buried in the back of furniture where it wont get any air flow.

As a 20 yo country kid living in an urban area for school, I got into hard drugs (sober for some time now).
On one occasion I met up with some folks in a crack house to make a purchase. I sat by myself in the front of the living room. It was divided from the rest of the room by a pile of furniture with blankets wrapped to make a wall, like a crack head blanket fort.
A kitten came up to be meowing very insistently, and I picked it up. It furiously licked my fingers, which had crack soaked into them (it melts and if you stupidly touch it then, it soaks in). I yelled over the blankets, “hey I didn’t know you had kittens.” The proprietor yelled back, “yeah dont worry about dropping anything here, theyll clean it up fast.” It was a house full of crack addicted kittens.
Oh almost certainly the point is just to have used AI. Theyre accelerating into popping the bubble. The tokens are starting to get priced more realisticly and there’s no way folks built things that financially make sense long term. Everyone is just being pushed to use it more to make more slop.
They can charge for the placement, or prioritize sponsored listing like they do for search results. So theyd make money on the feature, instead of spending money.
It should be fairly straight forward to check the state of a listing and ensure it hasn’t changed since it was evaluated for this purpose.

No, I think thats a healthy self awareness. Id rather have an awkward conversation about staying somewhere else than to have to deal with the aftermath of that kind of poor behavior.
Its probably a good idea to work on yourself and get a better relationship with your libido. No one’s perfect, and admitting your faults to yourself opens the door to improving yourself.

I guess im saying im optimistic things will swing the other way, and the fallout will hurt like savings and loan or the housing crash, but people can still find a way i think to build new things that are more sustainable and more ethical and restrict the harmful stuff. AI is a wide field. Of course it the landscape is horrifying now, im just trying to do what I can to stay positive.

I think of a state machine as a hardware concept, not software. If all these conditions, transition to state 21. Then do a thing, if these conditions, transition to 38.
In my field its common for my colleagues to not have enough experience outside of their role to provide the feedback im looking for. They help in conversation for sure, but the wide knowledge base that is available through AI is my biggest win.
That and I cant over utilize it (well at least as a rubber duck). I can bug my colleagues too much and get in their way if im too talkative.
A loop and a data structure to hold the result of parsing. The data structure will have a state you can interrogate. No need to build a state machine to explicitly name each way the parsing can develop.
Yeah I bought the cheapest bw laser printer I could find like 10 years ago. 1 toner cartridge replacement that whole time. And it was like 20 bucks. I have a spare, thats how accessible toner is.
