I just bought my oneplus (which I love) but I wish I didnt need to charge headphones anymore.

I never had a dishwasher growing up. When I moved into my current home and It had a dishwasher, I thought it was dumb, till I started using it… But I do a little bit of both, on the days where I am super lazy and let the dishes pile up, I would put them in the dishwasher just to get them clean, but on the days where I am truly responble adult, I would just take the 5-10 minutes to wash the little bit of dishes by hand. So in short, both.

I just think of it as chilling doing something fun. Doing your hobbies without your phone near should reduce the urge to “make content”. But also realizing that the juice is sometimes just not worth the squueze, I mean, you could try, but doing something for the sake of doing it out of enjoyment is what helps me do my hobbies.

Why google is doing this? I just want to download apps from F-Driod. I just want to install software on a device that I own!

Yep it’s such a fragile situation

I’m the same with reading novels! It’s so hard for me to situate things because I don’t see images while reading! I found out that’s called antaphasia!

Those are some good hobby ideas! I’m going to get back into drawing and doing urban sketching to get out of the house more and join some local urban sketcher meet ups.

I tried lifiting and I didn’t enjoy it! But I’m going to try it again or something that seems more fun! I was looking some things up, and kettlebells seem like alot of fun, swing and all, lol! So I’m going to look into that more and see if there are any classes.

I never really considered that IRL is just as brianrot as online! And in some ways it makes sense! Like people spend alot of their time online as is, so I’m not surprised that people’s behaviors today are at a minimum influenced by online media and such. It’s a vicious collective action problem! I dunno how to change the sisuation but I’m going to be doing more hobbies and things not on a screen, that’s for sure, lol!

I’m going to look into fun physical activities to do! I do go rock climbing with my brothers but truthfully It’s not my favorite thing to do. But I’m going to keep exploring things.

That’s a good idea! I have an old Kubo that I neglected for far to long!

This list is kinda of nostalgic to me. When I was younger, I was obessed with andriod mods and rooting videos on YouTube, and I remeber all those apps getting recommened in videos!

I replaced Play Music with ibroadcast but truthfully I could just self host a music player.

This is wonderful advice, and I’m gonna just take things day and day and try to get out of my shell despite the cringe and discomfort. I need to remind myself that being uncomfortable is how I grow and to stick to it!

This man gotta stop! This is getting out of hand.
My gawd, I laughed to hard at this !
Looks at first the boxer had the judo(ist?), but once the judo(ist?) finally got grappling he took him down! I was surprised he won!
For real, my nsfw account gets way more use, lol!
Thats a thing! What’s the site?
I think it’s a combination of many things from social media, to the lackluster economy.
In many ways technology has made us less human and less tolerable of other people. We are becoming like the humans from Wall-E where they are content to eat and watch slop all day, even losing the ability to walk and think because the machines can do it for them. We are becoming mean, self absorbed blobs!
All this technology has made our lives so frictionless and easy. Everything can be done with our phones that in many people’s minds humans are “obsolete”. Which I disagree with, but I’m not better too. I struggle with making friends and maintaining connections, it’s so hard but it’s something I would want to change as well. I guess it’s just a sign of the times, and zoomers, hell other generations too need to try our hardest to connect with our fellow humans.
I was on sub stack and some put it perfectly: " We must resist the pull of the machine." And that’s the struggle being human today and why making human connection is so hard. Our machines are so designed to be so alluring that we must fight against it to stay human.
