7·8 days agoI really don’t understand this use case at all. What would be the point of something like this other than because. I mean if you’re going to stream, which it makes it sound like this is what it’s supposed to be for, you’ve got all kinds of software already to do this without a 2K enclosure.

10·12 days agoYeah, that kinda crap has been around for forever, I know I ran into these same types of HR written BS requirements back in the 2000 when I was searching for jobs and .NET and Java was the latest hotness, been out for just a few years and was running into job postings requesting 5 - 10 years of experience.

7·12 days agoAnd that’s why the last time I went and bought appliances, I had to ask/look up if the item I was looking at required an app or firmware updates.
It was not exactly an ideal experience.

11·20 days agoU.S.C. § 1201 can be used against your physical goods too since it’s so damn broad about circumventing DRM.
This is why your physical good like the good ol’ Bambu labs was able to file a DMCA notice against OrcaSlicer fork.

3·20 days agoOuch. I recently had a set of 64 GB sticks of RAM go bad and I went through weeks of back and forth with Patriot to get it RMA’ed under their lifetime warranty.
Worth every bit of hassle but yeah, I shudder to think if anything else dies at this point.

211·20 days agoHave you not been paying attention to the semi-conductor and memory market? Prices are absolutely too high due to AI at this point and is part of the issue of why this and every other thing that uses a electronics is expensive as all heck. There’s a reason why my 64 GB of ram I bought for 110 dollars is now 500 bucks.
Wages and taxes are a whole other topic that while also true, is a whole other discussion outside of the release price of a VR headset.

72·20 days agoAgreed with the current market, obligatory fuck AI and fuck Trump, but there is a small, small point about the charger. That would not have broken any bank to have included that along with the controller straps. Even the Index came with controller straps.

241·22 days agoYeah, fuck AI.
As much as I would like to upgrade to this, the price is just too steep at this point for me.

Nice to see even AA studios are greedy bastards.
So even though he admits that the AAA gaming industry has fucked it all up with their greed, his answer is more greed.
Well F’ that guy then, I’m a patient gamer and I can wait KCD III for a sale if that’s his stance instead of creating a game withing the scope of their budget.
