Gotcha. So pretty much if I want to personally avoid the growing pains (or possibly ease them for others), I should consider it, but doesn’t particularly help you directly. Thanks for clarifying and thanks for all the work you all put into it!

Not sure if this is a good place to ask but it was on my mind these days, with the big user boom and probably most of it being directed at .world - should some of us consider moving to other instance to make room? Would it make sense? Would it help? Or are you ok having so many users under the .world umbrella (possibly causing even greater flood with people seeing it is the “main” (with biig quotes there) instance?
Came here to comment this. I wanted to enjoy it but I just didn’t. I can see myself having good fun with it if I watched it 10-15 years ago but when I did it just didn’t hit where it should’ve
I mean… communities is the official term, makes sense to use it. No idea where the others come from - except magazines, that is a kbin thing.
I only ever saw “lemming” being used, was not even aware there was a discussion. Happy with the result though!
Looking forward for the inevitable legendary lemmy posts sometime down the line and me being able to say I was there for it.
I heard about horses dying from the stress caused by fireworks. It can also be hurtful to wildlife.
I’ve read this is coming in next release I think
Hah, totally forgot about Google+. But then again, I mostly kept forgetting about it eben when it existed so…
So when I try to aubscribe to a community, but it says “pending” it is defederalized? Because I encountered it quite often. But some even show in my subscriptions, even though the community says “pending”. Is this a bug or something?
Is there a way to know if an instance is defederalized to mine? Or should I simply not see those?
Thanks for the additional context, you guys rock!
