I’m just one of the oddballs. I never played NV until this year and I’ve really enjoyed it and I know objectively it’s a better game. The reason I choose 3 or NV is simply because I have good memories when I was younger playing a gaming genre id never experienced prior.
I never played 76 or the two originals from interplay. Between 3 NV and 4, it’s always hard to top your first. And playing F3 was my first and an experience. I hadn’t played the elder scrolls before this and was just amazed with freedom that these open world RPGs gave you. Yeah so gonna have to go with F3 for the sole reason of nostalgia.
Still waiting on Echoes of Wisdom foru switch. But I’ve been diving into Falloit New Vegas in th mean time. I love Fallout games

They plan to support the switch 1 for ten years so you have a few years still. You also have a huge library of games to check out, so don’t worry so much if a Switch 2 comes out next year.
How about the fact that baby Metroid was so important it still comes up all the way into Metroid 5.
Damn a kinetic sculpture. I’ve never gotten huge into Lego, just like watching people build on YouTube. But this one I might consider.

It’s weird that fanboys still desire the latest tech from Nintendo. They haven’t given a damn since the GameCube.
And you know what, i still like my graphical fidelity, but thats what the PC is for. Nintendo consoles are for the great gameplay loops they always manage to develop into there games.
Thanks for the list. I’ve been playing indie games for about 15 years and the retro inspiration has always been the best part about them. Graphics never mattered and it meant that gameplay was put first, just like the old days.
I thought the C buttons acted as your right thumb stick on classic shooters. I don’t have the N64 on NSO so I don’t know how they map those.
That is absolutely not true
Obviously as a kid I thought the Nintendo of the mid90s was the best. But over the years I’ve come to realize just how much of a flop that era was.
Still love my N64 collection though and even to this day finding new gems.
