The French Revolution was ultimately a bourgeois revolution that signalled the transfer of power from aristocrats to capitalists. It’s fine to enjoy the aesthetics of it but we will have to go further than the French did.

I don’t feel that great about a homeless person getting their tent vandalized.
Thanks again for all the work you and the rest of the admin team do to keep this place running.
Congrats, you understand that the government taxing them and using the money to fix social problems will work infinitely better than charity ever has.
I couldn’t imagine marrying someone with totally opposing political views. Disagreements on some issues sure, but totally opposing political views is essentially like having totally opposing values, morals and ethics to a degree, etc. Base things that play a role in determining compatibility.
I truly don’t understand how people love with them
Very carefully.
Just slightly less than when they came up with a fan that doesn’t buffet you with air as though that’s not what you want from a fan.

Just in general cast iron has this sense about it like people think it’s made of gossamer and not a chunk of literal iron. They aren’t that delicate. Even coarse scrubbies are fine if not applied too firmly.
Sweet and salty is a good and valid flavour combo.

The devs being who they are is a big reason this place was not attractive to nazis and other reactionary trolls who were banned from reddit the way other reddit alternatives have ended up in the past. Say what you will but I would deal with whatever we have going on here over whatever Voat, for example, became 100% of the time.
Wealth inequality is as great as it has ever been. If putting money into the hands of the wealthy so they can distribute it to charities as they see fit solved anything, we’d be living in utopia by now.
You can pause the tariffs but you can’t pause the uncertainty you’ve introduced into the system, Don.
Canada’s 2004 federal election. I voted NDP.
Not banned. I’m being the change I want to see.
Any French commenters able to contextualize this news for the rest of us? Le Pen’s party has been gaining popularity in recent years, if I recall correctly. How is this likely to impact them? Are they organized enough to continue on without her, or is this likely to seriously hurt their electoral chances?
It’s always good to see a fascist lose but I’m not tuned in enough to French politics to know the full significance of this.
There’s also lots of (frequently not even that) old games that I never got around to/never heard about that I can now get on sale for 5$ or whatever, so it’s not always a matter of replaying.
