I wouldn’t disagree that Doom is a very good choice here too. The fact that it has become a tradition and challenge to try to run Doom on all kinds of hardware alone proves how influential Doom is. However, I wouldn’t say Dungeon Master has aged more poorly than Doom. Both games are really fun today I think. Dungeon Master is just way more niche, it’s older, it had fewer players and the franchise has died a long time ago, while Doom is going strong. It’s a tough choice and I admit I’m a bit biased here anyway - Dungeon Master was my first true love when it comes to video games.
I bet noone’s gonna mention the great grandfathers of modern RPGs. Bard’s Tale, Ultima, Dungeon Master… all modern games are standing on the shoulders of giants.
Absolutely agree. Bike infrastructure in Germany, especially in German cities is dismal. I’ve been to Talinn, Estonia and saw how things could and should be done, and in comparison, Germany sucks. Well, and if you’re using a bike for your daily commute, you’ll also be familiar with the mindset of car drivers. You’ll be overtaken far too close and yelled at every day.
In Germany, we have the wonderful Radwegebenutzungspflicht (obligation to use cycle paths). Unfortunately most drivers don’t realize this only applies to about 10% of Germany’s cycle paths, which are marked by a blue sign. They think the obligation applies to all cycle paths, and so they keep giving cyclists shit.
Christianity as a whole is pretty gay. I mean come on… they’re the ones on their knees hoping for a man to come for a second time.
He’s gonna run for president some time in the future, mark my words. And he’s gonna be a lot worse than Trump.
Who the f*** dares to downvote a word my brother invented when he was 7?

I happily pay for software. ONCE. I have no idea if this software will be regularly updated and if there will be new features. How do we know the developer won’t abandon the project? And it’s a lone developer, apparently. Ever heard of the bus factor? Give me a license that enables me to use the product in its current form indefinitely, and I might consider buying it. But a subscription? No thanks. Who does this guy think he is, frickin Adobe?
