Ok, but then it is perfectly fair also for a phone.

If requested by who?
IIRC by the seller, if you did not pay the montly check for your loan they were able to disable the car and then recollect it
That would actually be a fantastic security feature for owners to be able to do if their car is stolen.
Yep, it was a fantastic security feature for the owners but also a way to disable the car if you do not pay the loan.
In some way yes

I think to remember to have read something about the possibility for a car manufacturer to remotely disable the car if requested or defaulted, something like once you park the car and turn off the engine it will not start again so no security problem, but I cannot pinpoing when/where i read it or if it ever went beyond the stage of an idea.

Here we are talking about things not completely paid off. If you use a loan to buy something (a car, a phone, a house, whatever) until you paid off all the loan the thing is not yours.
If you don’t pay your car loan, they can reposses it, if you don’t pay your phone loan they block it, if you don’t pay your data plan they close it. I don’t see anything strange here.

Which is something they already can do, just push an update and they are done. And after they simply go out of the market: nobody will buy their phone anymore.
But this is something different, here we are talking about something that is not different than reposessing a car if you don’t pay the loan you used to buy it.

While these models can find more bugs, it seems that these bugs do not convert to exploits to a higher rate than before

Non citizens can be detained and rejected for not providing access to a device via password. Best to bring a second device if you must enter. Depressing times.
Or simply do not go to the US and let them to rot in their own madness

In a sane world you would be correct. In this world you are dreaming, most of the people do not care.

To use your comparison, CEOs selling solar panels are responding to scepticism about the stability of that supply and its elasticity to fluctuating power demand with vague promises of developing more advanced cells that can operate with less light and throttle the generated power during ebbs in demand. They buy land to install more solar panels, then lobby for the deactivation of other, flexible power sources that could supplement their supply until they can finally start charging more in times of high demand.
To be honest, it seems to me that are not the CEOs of solar panel companies that belive that solar panel (and other renewable sources) are a drop in replacement for more traditional sources. This idea comes from a certain area of the political spectrum and groups that do not understand even the basic math behind the substitution of a gas turbine with a field of solar panels.
Then it is true, CEOs are probably overselling, like everyone that has to sell something. And obviously they need to say that the technology will improve otherwise in the current economy they will be ignored and investment would go to other things.

As soon as we find a replacement for it, sure.
Plastic is not used only in disposable objects.

Moreover, is it not the same water that enter the datacenter ?

I think that the Chernobyl disaster made much more psychological damages than real ones, in the long term.

Yep, but require much more space. And it could be not available when you need it.

Maybe it’s no big deal, but I imagine there’s a significant complication of the blades to do that. They’re basically wings, and (again, I’d imagine) are structurally sensitive.
I think a problem could be that the wind turbines are moving parts, so they somehow vibrate, and that could be a problem for the dam while panel on the other hand are basically a layer of paint.

As long as also the liberals follow the same law practing what they preach, it would be interesting to see who will survive in the end.

It’s a technofix for a problem that should be adressed way earlier in the pipeline, as is basically all carbon capture in general. These efforts divert energy and attention from solutions that actually matter.
Maybe, but it is better to try to fix a problem that exist than doing nothing hoping to fix the cause.
What would you suggest as “solutions that actually matter” ?

It is not wild in their eyes, they need to find a way to justify it after all.
But I think that this way they are opening the door to the possibility to be sued or to be considered responsable for what is on the play store. It is not a stretch to go from “I need to verify your identity” to “you are responsible for what you accept to put on the store”. They want control, they will get even responsability.

As do many people, but there are plenty others who will see this as being punished for doing the right thing, and will be less inclined to do so going forward
Maybe, but I am more optimistic about that.
Except they stop selling to certain sectors because these sectors pay less. I am pretty sure that if a laptop maker ask to buy the RAM at a 50% higher price than AI companies, the RAM producer will happily sell to them.
And how do you plan to keep these alternatives from selling to the higher bidder, which will probably be a AI company ?
