I’m Norway, and yeah, I’m sure there are places that don’t abide by the law. But, I’m quite certain the kind of monitoring Tesla appears to be doing would be national news in a hurry, and something that would be cracked down on.

Holy shit. I sometimes forget just how grateful I am to not live where it’s possible/legal to treat people like this.
Compared to their wooden counterparts, windjammers may not be quite as elegant, but I find some of them quite attractive. E.g. Christian Radich.
That ship, btw, was the star in the 1958 film Windjammer. Shot in Cinemiracle, it is well worth a watch.
Slow Horses isn’t terrible either.
Would that be because of creasing issues, or are there other practical differences?
Using your lawn/property to advertise politicians feel like such an American thing? I’ve never seen anyone do that over here, in Norway. If you did people would probably think you were a weirdo, someone a bit too invested in politics.
And an ounce is nowhere close to a decimeter!
Doh, two communities, but none for us who need it explained like we’re four. /s
You’re not going to believe this, but it turns out that no one knew this was happening - they’re all completely innocent! As long as they promise not to do anything immoral ever again, they’re fine. /s
In general efficiency, modern cars are a lot closer to 40% than 20. E.g. a Prius engine is at 38,5%.
It was interesting to see F1 engines go past the 50% mark, a few years back.
My house may look like shit but that doesn’t mean I have to use trash to decorate my garden.
Hey, Viktor, what if you give 20% of your country to Putin, then perhaps he’ll agree to get the heck out of Ukraina and we can live forever in peace?
On 14 August 1903, while on a cruise from Chicago to South Haven, Michigan, six of the ship’s firemen refused to stoke the fire for the ship’s boiler, claiming that they had not received their potatoes for a meal.
Rather than give the poor guys a few potatoes they threw them in the brig and charged them with mutiny.
How large of an elephant population is required for an elephant brothel to be viable, let alone a huge one? How do elephants even pay?
A fast one, too, barely managed to catch it on camera.
Norwegian name is revebjelle, which translates to “fox bell”.
Those sons of bitches… my childhood could’ve been very… different.
You might be surprised at how many people don’t really know how to use Google/a search engine effectively.
Things like “what should I search for to find X” is a sentence I hear from both friends and colleagues quite often.
I haven’t really played around with anything else since Sync for Lemmy was released, because I’m perfectly happy with it.
I’d be curious to see the dish install. It’s hard to imagine how someone would think it’d go unnoticed, on a warship, no less.
