Agreed. The userbase is a bit too homogeneous. Also if you say something remotely positive or try to bring some nuance to topics that have a strong circle jerk value on Lemmy you’ll get downvoted into oblivion.

What does that do?
Why suffer?
Lol none of what you said is true.
Thank! I’ll be sure to donate some here as well.
It baffles me the amount of pushback the $2 a month is getting. I guess it says alot about the demographic browsing Lemmy…I’m happy to support the dev. For the amount of time I’ve used on sync it’s 100% worth every penny.
How do I restore my backup?
Just try sync for some time and you’ll notice a huge difference.
Realistically it’s the only way he can sustain the development costs with such a small userbase. I’ve subscribed monthly to show my support. It’s not really that much money considering how much I use sync.
As long as we keep posting content and the users continue to slowly grow there is hope.
Countries are still increasing their defence spending. My investment in Raytheon that was done over 6 months ago has netted me a negative increase of -2,42%.
It’s never late enough for you to beat that.
We like the stock!
I created a community for the sub I missed from Reddit. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but I will keep the content flowing to Lemmy every single day… It takes me 20-40 minutes each day to look for interesting content but it’s worth it. As for the lack of comments they will come. The important part is being consistent.
The trick is to start posting interesting content. We all have to do our part for this to take off.
Build my dream house with an architect. After that I would probably travel the world with friends and family.

If you have the right opinions Lemmy can be a comfortable place.
