For the sake of the meme, I will out myself and say that I’ve been confusing Napoleon and Neapolitan for all my life. I feel seen.
After the following years, I’ve quietly taken the whole “this is when we diverged into the darkest timeline” schtick an iota more seriously. It’s been a strange 8 years.
but because Kevin Conroy, I got it anyways.
Corporate greed ruins yet another thing I love.
I admire the late Conroy as much as the next guy but my brother in christ this mindset is exactly what fuels this level of quality by directly justifying it via your purchase.
You can’t solely blame these corporation if you continue to behave in ways that to support and incentivises them to utilise these strategies.
Made me have a healthier relationship with social media, my smartphone usage, and overall thinking. I almost exclusively used RiF and curated it enough that I could readily get lost in it for hours in threads and/or following drama.
I knew what I liked about reddit was the mods, the 3rd party apps, and the communities, and the company behind the website was the least appealing ineffectual part of the experience. They were slow in every sense of the word and consistently made out-of-touch decisions.
Lemmy was a great transition point for me. At first I was trying to treat it as a clone. Instead, I found a place (and the fediverse in general) where there wasn’t a mass amount of resources spent to keeping me engaged - it’s just content of the day, no strings attached.
I found a space that was indifferent to the amount of time I spent on it, passionate communities that were more responsive and literate, and just felt more respected as a person.
fixed and thanks!
“I demand a favor”
“I grant but one boon, mortal. And it will be given to you as it is given to everyone - when your time has come.”
Gargoyles, Guy summons Anubis to bring back his son. YT Link for the amazing delivery.
“Death is always pointless - that is the point”
It’s going to be weaker in caffeine content but still stronger tasting. This is ideal if you are trying to reduce daily caffeine intake or just like the taste of strong coffee.
Some people still need a kick of espresso but don’t want/need 3 shots worth in a single drink.
Great post idea! A bit misleading cause she’s got range from chill (don’t)to upbeat/triumphant tunes (kattekekoyoi) for workouts.
Saved this post to refer later ✌️
I have YTMusic (lol) but came as no surprise (hence the name)- only started listening this year too
Person has an idea for an X-men RPG, conceptualised a little too well and loves it so much they cursed themselves with the awareness of difficulty of game development and it’s non-existence.
Decides to make a video and spread the curse to X-men and JRPG fans alike.
literally all fighting games. started with smash, loved to sf4, then dbfz. sucked hard but still f opening fgc content to this day - planning to buy sf6 when i get the chance/time
Nah it’s not just you. Anytime I decide to start a radio while working, half the time I discover absolute bangers that I add to my playlists that balances between matching the vibe and distinct - which isn’t as easy as it seems.
similar thing happened to me. i think it’s important to remember it’s literally easier to can’t do something than choose not to do something.
I knew there’d be growing pains for lemmy, thoroughly enjoying going nostalgia lane, but now I see every delight has a sinister cost
If you want to travel fast, go alone; but if you want to travel far, go together.
It’s one of those African proverbs with an unknown origin but their emphasis on community has always been a guiding principle for me.
Usually it appears that way (like I was surprised some posts had 0 likes/favourites), but when I click on the post or go to the original source - it shows a higher number.
I just assumed that instances don’t automatically gather likes as readily as boosts.
Design is a cycle between 3D/gradients/sharp edges to 2D/flat colors/rounded corners.
Sorry to break it to you but it’s no longer viable to just have 3-4 passwords to memorize or simply add small changes. With the exponential rise in computing power and data breaches, brute-forcing and rainbow tables are increasingly viable.
Just memorize a ridiculously strong password (I recommend a combination of a quote/passphrase and made up words in addition the standard best password practices) and use that for your password manager. Bitwarden and many others have a password generator where you can generate 30+ character passwords
May be a minor bug but was a big fix for me! Thank you MV-GH and everyone involved for making this happening in a speedy manner :)
