They had a big push and update a few years back focusing on redoing the UI to make it more friendly to beginners. Although I haven’t personally used it a ton since then.

I had this on Ubuntu or Debian awhile back. PopOS shares enough with them this might be the same issue. It was a quick fix that worked for me. If not, then there’s multiple scratchy HDMI issues out there…

Maybe failed is a strong word. It wasn’t very popular and support was dropped out of Blender a few years back but it seems to have new life under the fork UPBGE.
