Honestly, deep fried images usually give me a headache but this one is actually pretty nice. I think the horrible HDR gives it a painting like quality.
It doesn’t seem that way. After reading through the article a couple of times, it looks like the “no” they are referring to is regarding data recording of one’s actual use of the assistant. And since I don’t use the assistant and have completely disabled it, the shouldn’t be any data to record.
Though I do have to admit that I may be completely off base in my interpretation.
And how does this effect those of us that have completely disabled Gemini Assistant?
You do realize that is a comedy site, right?
I think I’d rather be lost at sea than be anywhere near any portion of our current civilization.
CDC data from 2022 indicated that more than one in five U.S. adults under the age of 45 experienced symptoms of mental distress.
Must be the lack of personnel. Couldn’t have anything to do with the global insecurity of rising inflation and low wage jobs coupled with the skyrocketing housing costs. Not to mention the whole “the earth is steadily getting hotter and extreme weather events are happening more and more frequently.”
Yeah, let’s invest in more AI that will fuck over the planet even more with colossal energy requirements and not even bother with making people more financially and socially secure.
So glad I have never given a dime to that fucking company.
The price of everything is too damned high.
Yeah a couple of weeks ago Google secretly activated Gemini on every Pixel user’s phone. I ran into the same problem, my phone suddenly activated and Gemini popped up interrupting a song that I was playing while I was away from my phone. Ended up screwing up the song and having it repeat over and over and over.
They’ve just kinda, taken over.
That’s called a monopoly.
I was going to say doesn’t this already exist in Canada? LoL
Also isn’t Loblaw’s unbelievably horrible? Like even more evil than Walmart?
I don’t agree with Israel at all. But Iran is a theocratic ethnostate as well. One that has pretty loudly proclaimed that the day they have nuclear weapons is the day before they use one on Israel. There’s nobody out there who’s in a morally high position.
Well, it looks like your memory is somewhat correct.
Stopping fetuses from developing Down’s Syndrome in my opinion isn’t unethical because it will genuinely improved their quality of life. They will live longer lives, have fewer health problems, etc. The slippery slope however was pretty well covered in the film Gattica in which people not only start requesting designer children but the world becomes a dystopian utopia where the genetically perfected are unfairly favored as the ruling class while the genetically unmodified become relegated to the worker/slave class.
And when SpaceX does it with real full size rockets and they explode scattering debris and chemicals everywhere, the nearby towns pay the price.
I don’t see any towns being decimated by Honda’s approach.
That is not why starship fails. Starship fails because like everything that Elon does lately it emphasizes style over practicality. Starship is a very badly designed rocket that looks cool to Elon. Not unlike the Cyber truck which has been an abject failure in every way possible.
Beth can be tricky because it can also be short for Bethany.
Don’t forget Bobby, Boberino, and the unsung classic Bert.
It has to run your actions by the AI to be sure they are properly recorded and sent to Microsoft.
