Just a quick correction. Robots.txt doesn’t block anything, it simply politely asks the search engine to not look here or use what is contained within. A lot of the search engines ignore this and catalogue the contents of the website anyway. And pretty much all of the AI database downloaders ignore it with impunity.
According to the article you can still do this. It’s just you can’t replace a 2 GB with an 8 GB because the board will still only recognize 2GB of that chip.
This is to prevent the resellers from buying 2 GB boards for cheap, replacing them with cheap 8 GB chips, and then reselling them for just under retail of the official 8 GB boards.
If you had read the article instead of just blindly reacting to the title you would have seen that this is actually to prevent that.

I agree. One of the most frustrating things about Amber alerts is the fact that you can’t easily look at the alert after it’s been dismissed. I found out there is a way to find the alert but it’s not simple.
As to the article. In my opinion if Amber alerts save just one child a year they’re worth having.

I’m having a hard time understanding this. Is feminity considered a bad thing? Is the use of spreadsheets being looked down on here? Is the trade of grain in ancient Samaria look being looked down on?
What exactly was the point of this post?
Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized and functional society. And spreadsheets are just plain cool. I really don’t get people who hate spreadsheets. It is literally the best way to organize information.

From what I’ve heard, it’s not terribly surprising. His constituency is similar to Georgia’s 14th (the one that consistently voted in Marjorie Taylor Greene). Basically British redneck boomers.
The problem is that these doctors might not even know that the AI’s are spying on them. We don’t have enough legislative protection for our private data so they could sign up for these things and be under the impression that their data is secure meanwhile these AI companies are siphoning that data into their training models without telling them. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.
That is one of the legitimate uses. Unfortunately it’s marred by the AI companies’ complete lack of trustworthiness when it comes to data privacy and security. You can’t know for certain they aren’t just wrapping your personal medical notes into their ever growing store of training data.
