1·1 month agoI agree that Graphene OS is the best alternative far privacy and security, but we’re giving advice to an iPhone user who probably expects their phone to just work. The OS can always be flashed later if the phone is a Google Pixel.
If good multiple cameras is what you look for in a phone, you can’t go wrong with a Google Pixel. It comes with a clean OS as well. Don’t listen to the others who say to flash a custom ROM, as doing that will gimp the phone’s experience and potentially stop some of the apps from running.
4·1 month agoI used Steam’s Proton to run it and it’s great. You can even add the installer as a non-steam game to set it up, then add the game executable into Steam that same way once it’s installed.

32·8 months agoEarlier today I swapped the displays between two iphone se 2020s. To my great disappointment, the screen on the working phone no longer functioned properly (colors look terrible, could not change brightness, home button not working) because the screen was bound to the other hardware. Thanks for making repairs impossible and hating your customers, apple

1·1 year agoAurora Borealis will be more visible because of the weakened magnetosphere. I don’t know what implications this will have on the world in practice.

The magnetosphere has been weakening in strength due to the ongoing pole shift over the past 30 years, which will peak in the 2040s when the poles will fully shift. I pray there will be no solar flares in the direction of earth during this event, otherwise most of unshielded electric equipment will get fried, including energy infrastructure.
12·1 year agoProbably not a good idea to spend $400 in a piece of hardware OP probably won’t use it they’re not into gaming anymore.
Look into “Ungoogled Chromium” if you want the browser without all the Google crap.
Seems to me that these people are being conscious about their health, and that’s somehow a bad thing.
3·1 year agoIt’s a truly wonderful game. The tight controls and buildcrafting has me replaying it for the sixth time now.
Tech enthusiasts perhaps. I doubt it would sell well.
