Most countries disagree with you. The standard is to sue both people, the one who sends and the one who receives.

Ori 1 & 2. It’s on sale and I’ve never played it before. It’s a great Metroidvania. Also the music is in Bandcamp so I’ll buy that next.
The new Firefox: shopping and advertisements.
I love Mallsoft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mallsoft) which is a subgenre of Vaporwave.
that would limit my own option to make a version of the software and sell it under a more limited license in the future
Nope. As the author you’re free to license your stuff however you want. You can use 10 different licenses for 10 clients if you want. You could write a custom version of your application and give a non-free license to a specific client if you want.
There’s nothing Tanenbaum could do
Tanenbaum doesn’t seem to mind
Today OP was very dumb and showed his ignorance of the concept “I do whatever I fucking want.” Don’t be like OP.
people regretting releasing their work under a permissive license
They’re free to change the licence of future versions. OP also failed at understanding the concept of licences. He’s such a silly moron!
I can’t help you because I was too busy finding good stuff of the the 80s in VHS.
Old movies were not “boring” or more “classic” but it was as hard to find as regular movies, so there was no point focusing on a specific decade. And since it was difficult to find for most people around me, we were looking for 80s movies.
Also you had to live next to a friend who had a good collection of movies. In most countries it was difficult.
I don’t know if I make myself clear, but if you had the choice between the new Spiderman and the Godfather to please your whole family, which one would you choose?
I just can’t. They are European countries and when I try to create an account to buy something, I am informed that I can’t create an account from another country (which should be illegal nowadays but they don’t seem to care).
There are laws to allow someone buying Romanian stuff from France, but they don’t care. I know it’s a niche thing, but if they refuse customers, they can’t complain about piracy.
Why what? They don’t want my money, and I can clone it without harming anyone. Is it theft?
Perverts who wait for hours to see birds having sex. That’s disgusting. Same for people who play the piano and hide their racism by using black keys as a symbol of stomping on black people.
And don’t get me started on poets…
I would ask how it is theft when I’m prevented from buying media from other countries. I can’t buy Romanian movies or Swedish books. It’s illegal for me to give them money. Where is the theft here?
I’m not American though. I didn’t realize that the IRS is not a branch of the government and definitely does not share its data with other people.
Why would the [government] need to know [whether money has been illegally acquired or not]?
I think you have the answer to your question.
I should be excited about it because it’s an amazing RPG, but what prevents them from selling the FLAC version on Bandcamp? I would buy everything, and instead I’ll get a random rip because vinyl is a stupid medium for this kind of music.
For those who don’t know, “trash vaporwave” is a sub-sub genre made of ASMR sounds of garbage trucks with mallsoft music in the background.
I only used it for 1 week but I remember that it would randomly commit suicide every hour, even without doing anything.
I feel that you forgot to switch back to your other account.
In regular “semantic versioning” (the most popular), there is no build number.
