I use PWAs for Firefox and they work ok, although I don’t have the issue you mention. For me, in Ubuntu, if I open a link in a PWA for Google Chat, then the link opens in the PWA firefox window, not my main browser window. Maybe there’s a setting I missed?
Also, the PWA acts like a separate browser, so opening Google Chat requires you to log in again to Google on the same machine. And if you open up a paywalled link, and it opens in the PWA, then you have to log in, even if you’re logged in in Firefox.
Overall 5/7 rating on usability, but did allow me to get completely off of Chrome
Was this scene in the trailers or something ahead of another more popular movie that year? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this movie, but the scene is still burned into my mind 20 years later.
I don’t particularly like Linus, but he was bearable in this video. As someone who assumed this was a SIM swap, I was genuinely as confused as he was playing it up when he was able to place calls but not receive them. That was really interesting.

public facing is fine
Not exactly, if it is something unintentionally public facing, that can get you charged with access a computer without authorization under the the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. This happened in this case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goatse_Security#AT&T/iPad_email_address_leak
sending a HTTP request with a valid ICC-ID embedded inside it to the AT&T website, the website would reveal the email address associated with that ICC-ID.
On November 20, 2012, Auernheimer was found guilty of one count of identity fraud and one count of conspiracy to access a computer without authorization

if Robinson were running for president, guess we’ll have to wait for 2028
Nooo, I just threw up.
P.S the syntax to link to a community is [email protected].
I think generally anything that is considered an attempted <whatever>, the judicial system takes into account the intent of the person who is being accused. If the intent was to assassinate Trump, and the person had everything they needed to do it, and would have done it if they had not been stopped, then a real attempt was made.
Did uptobox provide seed boxes for torrenting, or what was the service like?
FWIW this isn’t always true. A few months ago, I needed to add an email to my Zelle account on Chase, and had to call them. I initiated the call and they did issue a text message verification to the phone number in my account while on the phone to confirm.
Also this bit from The Simpsons
On the wayback machine, for 2001-09-12, they have this:
In light of recent events, The Onion is not publishing new material this week.
The Onion will return Sept. 26, though The Onion A.V. Club is new. Features include interviews with Barbara Ehrenreich, George P. Pelecanos, and Paul Collins. Click here to enter.
Had to look it up, here’s the link: https://theonion.com/issue-37-34-the-september-11th-issue-1828969352/
Also “The Scary Door”, a twilight zone type show within the universe of Futurama.
If I told my boss I have concepts of a plan during an important call with clients, I’d be fired. The fact he said this thinking it would absolve him of having to actually outline actual policy shows how empty the campaign is on anything of substance.
I have great hopes for this meme and hope it is as influential as “binders of women” in showing the absurd thinking behind the most important job in the world.
Trump has been the wildcard and basically gone against every norm for someone running for office. In 2016 that was more unexpected and the electorate had a clear anti-establishment candidate they could get behind (even though he lost the popular vote).
I think the trick has worn off and we now know how to deal with his antics, plus he’s aged and less coherent. Also he was the establishment for 4 years, and can’t be the wildcard candidate he once was.
I think Vivek Ramaswamy was trying this playbook during the Republican primaries but failed to account for the cult of Trump and the racism in the party. Maybe it would have worked against someone who wasn’t a former president or if Trump was sent to prison sooner.
I see I misread this and skipped the NOT in the meme, so thought this was pro racist couch fucking. Thanks for clarifying.
I guess I never thought about this but are the alec baldwin and harrison ford Jack Ryans the same person? Ben Affleck was assume is a reboot, but now I don’t really know.
The issue isn’t really people on the fence for Trump or Harris but mainly with generating turnout. After Biden’s poor debate performance, people didn’t change their mind and decide to vote for Trump, they became apathetic and maybe wouldn’t show up to vote.
Harris doesn’t need to persuade people to abandon Trump, she needs to get people excited to show up to vote.
I feel like I know all the references here but am still really confused. Is this pro-Trump/Vance? The up vote to comment ratio (on my instance) is high which is sus. What’s going on?
