If you’ve used the product for 10 years like you claim, then you should know very well the many ways in which they’ve gotten worse. A couple obvious ones off the top of my head because I dropped them like a bad habit after I saw that VC “investment”:

1. they killed off any ability to purchase a permanent license key and forced people into subscriptions.
2. the app has only improved? How are those nested tags working for you? A feature they had 10 years ago that they broke and never brought back.
3. Performance on windows has continually gotten worse with every release for the last 8 years.

DEFINITELY do not go 1password. They took a massive VC investment and it is only a matter of time before they find a way to monetize it. Ignoring the fact they absolutely destroyed the app.

So where exactly are kids supposed to go? People will go on about “they should just go outside” but kids have literally had the cops called on them for the crime of walking around their own neighborhood “unsupervised”. I’ve seen calls to ban kids from all sorts of places - planes, theme parks, restaurants, libraries. I’ve seen these “mosquito” things put up to drive kids away from public places. Kids are spending all their time on social media because they have nowhere else to go.

Outside. It may take society a bit of time to adjust, just like it took a bit of time before kids not being outside became normal, but it will happen. Kids run around my town all the time unsupervised, nobody is calling the cops, and parents are looking out for each others kids. That’s a great fantasy, but New York doesn’t have the death penalty, and he didn’t commit a federal crime. He won’t get the death penalty, he’ll likely get first degree murder and serve 30-life assuming they can show he targeted the actual victim and it wasn’t just the first person he saw that looked like they might be a UHG executive.

There is no planet on which UHC or anyone else wanted to be forced to cover patients with pre-existing conditions at anything resembling a reasonable cost.

Do I think Obama gave up way too much in negotiations? Absolutely. Do I think you’re a moron if you think this was “all part of private insurance’s master plan”? Absolutely.
