“Folk” is pretentious in your mind? I would think the opposite were more true. Having “folksy charm” means you’re more grounded and personable when describing someone you find to be outside the norm.

Because corporations make things based on the demand of those individual people. They don’t exist in a vacuum. And they’re not going to change because someone on the internet rants about them. Their only incentive is profit
And of course the land couldn’t be used for anything else… like natural ecosystems.
Just because land exists doesn’t mean it needs to be pillaged to feed our desires.
Calicos can be male, they’re just infertile cause they got extra genes.
He’s a smarmy self-important jackass who revels in the ability to get as much attention possible by attacking anyone who can’t defend themselves.
In your mind, of course. Seems you have a monopoly on opinion.
Is impeachment the only thing the House can do? They can’t enact any other kinds of legislation? Current legislative efforts not-withstanding.
They’re not, actually. Just because you only see Epic (which still has market share despite every effort they’ve made to drive people away) doesn’t mean there aren’t other storefronts.
They’re definitely part of an oligopoly, though.
As opposed to negative money?
“I prefer a quality storefront that at least presents the pretense of caring about providing a quality product to one that just wants to separate me from my money”
“What are you, some kind of fanboy?”
Taking the most positive likely option, developer salaries. Possibly repaying past investment that they used to pay salaries before they published as well.
Obviously corruption is a possibility, but it’s not the only possible answer.
Apparently they didn’t make enough money when self-publishing. At least from what I gleaned from reading the article.
Aren’t most of the claims of immunity because congress is supposed to be the one that holds the president accountable? So as long as the House doesn’t hold the president to account, they can do anything… but clearly Democrats are more willing to prosecute those in their own party than Republicans… so it’s far more likely that Biden would face consequences for his actions than Trump did.
It was probably more for better paid positions, but after three years sitting at the bottom I got kind of sick of the shifts and being treated like shit.
I work in an office now… still sucks, but at least I get to sleep overnight.
Having worked that specific kind of rotating shift, you still get the shift differential (a whole 25 cents for 2nd and 50 for 3rd, wooooo). That was also with a (neutered) union.
They were called pagers back then.
I would call it blown out of proportion when it was treated like an epidemic when it was little more than a few people who ever did it. Most just joked about it, and taunted the old fogeys who got bent out of shape about it.
You mean another fad that was blown out of proportion by one generation trying to prove the idiocy of another?
And/or Radio.
So self-delusion?
