They drove a large swath of stores out of business. It’s vastly more difficult

A lot of animated movies have super star studded voiceovers. The pay is pretty good for these actors and they don’t have to spend hours on makeup and wardrobe. They show up in regular clothes, talk into a mic for a couple hours then go home and cash a fat check. Vastly easier than actual acting roles.

I’ve not missed a Veritasium video in a long time 😄. I’m sure that RAM is much easier to produce, but DRR5 is pretty complex still, and is what has been snapped up in whole by these AI companies. I’m actually wondering if we’ll see a resurgence of DDR4 motherboards, as those fabs are likely around still, just likely more idle if used at all.

I’m fairly certain that spinning up RAM fabs isn’t super quick nor something that doesn’t require the most cutting edge tech.
China is definitely ahead of the US in a lot of tech, but unless they do invade Taiwan they might not have quite a deep enough bench.

Lol. I often drink 3 cups of coffee before leaving for the office, where I usually drink a big mug-o sludge. At one point I was drinking a full 12 cup pot daily.

Somewhat dependent on budget, but don’t forget about FB marketplace. It’s pretty much the only reason I still go to that godforsaken place.

Money isn’t a thing. I saw that Musk is at 700B now. He can spend a million dollars a DAY for nearly two thousand YEARS.
That’s the old Slashdot model. It does change how echo-y the chambers become when you limit how things get amplified. Those with higher engagement get to push things a lot harder and I’d actually fear the opposite. An Ai model would certainly be able to echo the general feeling of a place and then slowly turn the dial toward a goal, and do it more effectively in that case as it can comment on everything anyway.
Back in the late 90s, at a seedy bar with my tech-head buddies, we snagged a booth/table with a crappy half blown speaker that was pumping music so loud you couldn’t hear ANYTHING. My buddy whips out his multi tool and proceeds to stand up and snip the wire going to the speaker. An amazing idea that I’ve really never had the chance to replicate, but inspired me to carry a multi tool a lot more.

You’re not an edge case. My family isn’t that large but we still have challenges with this exact thing.
There’s a screen device that my wife gets incessantly advertised to her that is probably a better option than it being built into a fridge that has been engineered to last 3 weeks longer than the warranty.

There’s two of us!

Yep. I did carry a pair of 12ft 2x12 once. Just slides between the front seats. Mine only tows 8750lbs but my trailer is only about 5500.

I can fit 4x8 sheets in my suv pretty easy. More often though, I have more than 5 passengers. I also have a tow hitch and a U-Haul trailer is like $20 for the day to carry stuff that won’t fit in the back or is too nasty.
Mostly scraping by but also shopping for my next house after selling my first right before the market crashed. Worked a lot of 70+ hour weeks that year. Had 2x car accidents (neither my fault) that totaled out my cars, both of which netted me more than I had spent on the cars in the first place.

Hamburding
I love some connected devices, and own a LOT of them, but some things are just stupid. I don’t need my blender to be connected. Washer, dryer? Unless it’s going to move my laundry from one to the other, nope. Stove, wtf? I have to go stir anyway so who gives a crap.

I’m not so sure about that. Elon already walked back his attacks on Trump, and the Democrats won’t take him in after the Nazi salute and having him turn to trump in the first place means that he can’t be trusted.

Sort of disappointed that I had to scroll this far…
The books my wife reads have different results for love triangles. Wonder how freaky Lucas would have been if he could have gotten away with it.
