I’m patently against subscriptions but am currently paying for ChatGPT plus. I’m also that girl who’s installed other models on some decently beefy machines and have compared/contrasted. While I also don’t think AI is going to be everything to all people and that it has very specific applications, I’m literally the target audience and I’ve found ChatGPT to be superior in everything except math/complex problems/coding. I did this drive once. Well, my husband did and I was in the passenger seat so I got a real GOOD look at all the nothing. Late at night we actually stopped and got out because 1) we needed a stretch and 2) there was a full moon. We were far enough out that there weren’t any cornfields either, just undulating hills of sand sparsely covered with grass. It was beautiful in that light, and when we got back in I did some searches on the place.

I think you may have missed the jibe. NASA’s missions to the Moon were just as hazardous considering how little we knew at the time and we pulled it off. The pentagon’s budget is more than a trillion dollars and with the know-how we have these days I don’t think Mars is unattainable at all if those resources were at our disposal. They just won’t be… I guess unless China decides to try and one up us to Mars first. All it takes is injured pride for some of these people.

This right here. While my career might be in tech, nothing ever calls me like being a proper steward of the land. You can wake up and look out and see what you did growing and becoming stronger every day. It enriches your soul.

I think many of us have been here before. The first thing to realize is that… you aren’t the first and won’t be the last. I’m sorry you’ve had trouble in life. I’m having trouble now too, but different… and feel there’s nobody I can really talk to about it. I have friends who are also having trouble and while we talk, the reality is that all my good wishes and time to time help doesn’t solve their problems either. In the end it’s up to them.

When you accomplish that, take what you’re interested in and go find other people who are interested in it. Two people in the world who might be meant for each other, but just stay at home because they don’t want to get out there… will never ever meet.
Life is work. Friends are work. Relationships are work. If you just want to be happy alone and by yourself, guess what? Work.
This is a crossroads in your life, where you get to decide which way to go. It may seem overwhelming, but in the end it starts with one simple thing. What thing in the world makes you happy? If that’s nothing, then start with, what thing in the world makes you less sad?
