Hopefully in a year years Linux gets more support and becomes a viable alternative
Edit: for me it is and I’ve been using Linux for years, but some people need certain software
Some nerd that likes open-source

Yup, that’s why I’m very excited about it
Never heard of it and it seems shady
Very much
Anything decentralized and open source.
I’m really excited at the improvements made to gnome-mobile.
I don’t know why but this got me laughing so hard rn
Definitely think you should allow them again. Obviously not on your instance but restricting access to other instances is just not right. I do understand the concern though, I really hope in the end you realllow them.
Just read this post https://beehaw.org/post/567170
hope we become federated again soon
Thanks just what I was looking for
I definitely think Lemmy needs to grow. There’s plenty of subreddits that don’t have an active Lemmy community.
Well it’s new open source tech that can be self hosted by the 30+ tech nerds that have the money and interest in it.
True, I honestly don’t get it. In everything in life if I don’t like something I find something better or try to fix it. I hate relying on some entity blindly putting my trust into them. I will genuinely never understand the blind trust people put into anything and everything. I can’t tell if it’s ignorace or apathy
Well yeah, I get the backlog of post. Reddit threads from 4+ years ago still come up when I Google something. I mean actively using reddit. The obscure communities can be made and will be once more people use lemmy. Reddit didn’t have them at the start either
It’s literally the same format as reddit. Just make those communities
Do people not know about lemmy or are just unwilling to switch? I genuinely don’t understand people’s loyalty to tech companies
Haha felt that. I jumped from distro to distro constantly then finally settled in fedora after trying it a 2nd time
I’ve been so excited anytime I see updates from gnome-mobile. It’s looks much cleaner than phosh
It will be soon. Voice and video calls are in beta

I went back on Reddit a couple days ago and the difference is insane. Lemmy post and comments feel like real people. Reddit post are literally the same shit post or questions asked 3 years ago and filled with comments that seem like AI or just someone not putting in any thought
