IMO the first game should be something accessible that anyone can get into, like Mega Man X, or Streets of Rage, or an easy to play RPG like Mario RPG or Illusion of Gaia. Cast as wide a net as possible without picking something everyone’s played to death.

Or you could roll with whatever was most recently posted on Nintendo Switch Online. Harvest Moon was posted this month, just as an example
