It may have been different if the west had sent them billions in equipment as aid against the invasion.

Melenchon has always been very openly against police violence and for it’s urgent reform, and everyone in France knows that.
Cops are really commited to not letting us forget that ACAB.
Well, that’s new.
Anarchism is a sub-ideology of communism that seeks to abolish all kind of unjustified hierarchy, including capitalism. It’s the farthest left ideology.
“Anarcho-capitalist” is a strange concept that’s very recent and only seem to exist in the USA, that tries to reimagine feudalism in the industrial age, meaning that very rich people are free to have their own army and own massive area of land, where people living there will subjected to the laws of that lord, with no possibility to remove them through voting. It really doesn’t have anything in common with anarchy.
You can read more on the wikipedia page, it seems to be pretty good.
UK politicians never really seem prepared for anything tbh
Could you expand on that? What was the content of the surveys and what where the difference? And where does he state that?
I don’t know about you, but I would rather live in a country with an authoritarian and oppressive government that takes care of its citizens, instead of an authoritarian and oppressive government that oppresses its citizens to protect landlords and corporations profits like I do now.
I’m so happy I can be a part of this historical moment.
Your fear mongering is this:
The Cold War is in full effect, and it heating up to armed conflict is seeming more likely over the next decade.
It’s not fear mongering, it’s reality.
the US blew up the Nord Stream pipeline. I doubt this is true. I think Russia did it.
But… why?..
Even the US stopped pretending that Russia did it because everyone understood that it made no sense.
Why would Russia sabotage one of their main sources of revenue in the middle of a war?
I don’t understand that rumor, a simple search on lemmy.ml/c/worldnews shows a lot of posts talking about the Uyghurs: https://lemmy.ml/search/q/Uyghurs/type/Posts/sort/New/listing_type/All/community_id/14788/creator_id/0/page/1
If they remove orientalist posts, that seems fair since the rules of the instances states that they don’t allow biggotery. I would rather have those removed so we can have more constructive discussions around articles about the same topic but written in good faith, nobody wants lemmy to turn into the same troll farm that was reddit.
They shouldn’t feel the need to present evidence against a claim that didn’t present any itself.
“Memes are good formats for taking complex ideas, then condensing them into something that is easy to digest and distribute”
Wow… that guy actually thinks that you can use advice animals to convey complex ideas. I’m at a loss for words.
It was absolutely impossible to have a constructive conversation between two opposing beliefs on reddit partly because of that system, it was really infuriating. On the other hand, beehaw seems to outright block the instances where users don’t subscribe to their echo chamber, and I don’t think that’s good either.
That’s interesting, the only support I’ve seen for it amongst regular citizens of Europe is from people that both:
Even though I wasn’t very much affected by the inflation, I understand the reasons those sanctions aren’t supported by the majority of people here in Europe, and I sympathize with the hardship of people who already before that were struggling to make ends meet and feed their family.
You can categorize me with the humanitarians. And I already know where to categorize you.
