Was that during the period of time they couldn’t upgrade lemmy.world? Been stabe ever since the upgrade was done and the servers tuned. For me it is the most RiF like of all the apps, so I prefer using it.

I was thinking Janus who oversaw the beginning and end of conflict, but really they are a better god of Source Control because they preside over change.
Maybe Zeus because they constantly tested others and achieved their position through trials?
Looks great! I’m still partial to other interfaces since I can’t seem to make images thumbnails using that tool, but the ui is otherwise amazing.
Pushed it right to my block list.
Jerboa and connect.
I like both and switch back and forth.
Agree that they have every right to handle their instance however they want. I also have the right to not interact with them while they are blocking the instance I call home.
True, but unsubbed from them when it happened because I don’t want to see communities I can’t interact with.
Why add to the problem and have frustration with wanting to discuss something you are blocked from?
Thank you so much for doing this! The having an instance this big really made the difference for leaving reddit. I really missed jerboa and am glad to have it back as a client.

Connect is working really well for me, but I prefer jerboa. Unfortunately that isn’t working right now with lemmy. World being on an older version. Once they go to 18.1, I should be able to use it again.
I’m old… the internet.
So far it looks like just hate on cars.
Isn’t that a browser thing, not a lemmy thing? Iirc, your jerboa history shows up in your default browser
That’s not how I read it. They were saying it didn’t matter because of federation you can sub to any of them wherever they are.
I started using the app for lemmy because of this. The app is really nice!
Works on mobile too
If that had been the compromise, that users of this party apps needed to be premium, I’d have grumbled, but thought 50 a year is worth it to subsidize the costs of running the site without ads using the api.
Now, hell no. I’m transitioning the community I ran to lemmy, and trying to start communities here. Between lemmy, tildes, and royal road, I have everything I had on reddit.
Having sibling communities would be another approach.
Each one is still homed on their instance, but if the instances are federated the posts from the other instances automatically flow into the community. They would still show the originating instance, but content would be comingled.
Also, there is this info on why the /c/[email protected] link doesn’t work:
Haven’t noticed any issues, aside from the occasional down time on world.
