Since you mentioned you went to a school already (and assuming you meant some kind of post-secondary school); I do think it’s outrageous that some schools limit full library access to only the time one is completing their studies. Lots of former students would benefit and since anyone with access through their employers is likely using the employer’s library access, I can’t imagine former students would significantly increase the cost of maintaining database access…

I got lucky and still have access through the alumni association at my uni, but I don’t believe that’s true at all schools.

Why not? The common ‘hack’ is to join the wifi at your local uni if you don’t have the necessary subscriptions for the platform but lots of stuff is open-access

For .ca specifically: as long as you are a Canadian individual, or have a sufficient connection to Canada, or a Corp with a trademark registered in Canada then you are qualified to own that domain - but as to who is really checking I have no idea… CIRA complainants maybe?

Oh-i wasn’t expecting anyone to ask a follow-up… I think so, tbh it feels like every website says differently and when you read through it’s because they are all advertising a some brand of cleaner.

Ideally you want the polyester wicking moisture away from you and imo detergent always leaves a waxxy-feeling residual layer that is seemingly less noticeable on clothes made of cotton or other natural fibers.

I sort/separate so technical gear (hiking gear and other polyester stuff) doesn’t get washed with detergent but don’t see the need to use the more expensive stuff (non chlorine bleach) on regular clothes

I’m as progressive as the next guy and generally love the nanny state (who hates their nanny!?!) but this seems like something I’d like to have the choice to control - plus every appliance will just change to say ‘dont place in areas that are light sensitive’ or will just remove all functionality (a la “oh crap my phone hasn’t been charging cuz the plug died and I had no idea”)
