They mention it in the article. Exoskeleton that adds resistance in specific ways for rehab. No reason why it couldn’t work for training resistance.

To be fair, back then.
It really wasn’t 6-8 weeks for a package to travel to its destination. The bulk of that was inefficient human order processing.

Just accuse god of being lazy, and the use his power to take control of all existence.
The saying is “I’d rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.”
Saying it this way has more natural language symmetry.

Some people have very short, or no hair.

You can already poop in a box and mail it off instead of fingers up the ass. – https://www.cologuard.com/
GLP-1 is already a diet drug that’s available to most people.
2/3 of your hopes already exist. Maybe not for everyone, maybe it’s out of your price range, but they exist.

Poor Nixon. Always forgotten in the shitty modern president era.

What area of the world do you live in? In my neck of the woods wishing a “boring shift” or a “quiet shift” is considered a curse and will bring about all the crazy cases.
We typically wish each other a “safe shift” instead of a “quiet shift” here.

It’s not a binary clean/not-clean thing. The sock will be tumbled around in water with the other clothes as it’s being dried.
The sock will be clean-ER than it was when it was on the floor. The sock won’t be AS clean as the rest of the clothes in the drier.
Depending on how dirty the sock started out, this may be all that matters. We don’t know how sweaty or stained the sock started out. We don’t know how clean this person requires their sock to be.
Would I do it? No, I prefer my socks to be cleaner than that, and my socks get kinda stinky after I wear them. But someone that mostly wore them around the house and never actually put those socks into shoes? It’s probably fine.

Yeah, I would!

You know, this isn’t the greatest argument. Horse Dewormer is an antiparasitic. It’s legitimately used by people as an anti-parasitic (also, dogs, and other animals, not just horses).
https://www.drugs.com/ivermectin.html
You can definitely say “joe rogan thinks an anti-parasitic drug works on viruses.” but calling it a “horse dewormer” is ignoring the fact that it’s actually also a “people dewormer.”

I get what he’s saying - like a lot of things he talks about, it only makes sense on a surface level.
A computer is programmed by people, and has assumptions and conditions programmed into it. The people who create the LLM/AI/AGI/Whatever are going to decide what’s important and what isn’t.
That’s literally creating laws and treaties in an overly complicated way, that you probably couldn’t predict the outcome of. It’s never going to be better than having intelligent, educated, and well supported representatives.
Additionally, government doesn’t mean anything unless there’s an enforcement arm. It’s a terrible idea to concentrate the decision making to one thing, then give it the power to enforce its decisions. That’s literally Judgement Day.

Just so you know, you don’t need special equipment to see another galaxy. If you have good eyes, you can just go to a very dark place and look up. A pair of binoculars definitely helps though.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda_Galaxy
There’s actually a bunch of local galaxies that you can see with just a pair of binoculars, a small telescope, or a good camera and some time.
The Messier Objects are one catalog of things that are pretty bright in the sky that you can see with your eyeballs through any basic telescope or binoculars. The numbers don’t really mean anything, they’re just the order they were cataloged in.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_object
If you check out the list, you can see that a lot of them are galaxies. If you spend a little time learning how to find them, you can see them yourself. – Andromeda is M32.
Those are all part of the Local Group. Which are a bunch of galaxies that are all nearby and pretty easy to find with telescopes.

This is a great comment, but just for completeness, the Type Ia Supernovae is only one part of the Cosmic Distance Ladder.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_distance_ladder
We can start with small, easier to measure things, and work our way outwards to more and more complicated measurement techniques. Most of these techniques overlap each other and can be used to confirm our measurements.
One of the big unsolved questions in cosmology is that many of our measurements disagree, this isn’t a “problem” just an unsolved question, and as a result, we don’t know how far away things are to the accuracy we would like. That being said, we still know how far away they are to a pretty damn close approximation.
The interesting thing is, the better we get at measuring how far away things are, the more our measurements differ from each other. There’s a lot of reasons why this might be, but one of them is that a Type Ia Supernovae might not be as standard as we think it is.

In the Spider-Man Miles Morales video game, someone steals a cat named Spider-Man from a bodega.
You have to rescue the cat to finish the mission.

Spider-Man?
There’s a huge difference between charging in town while you’re out for other things, and refueling while on a longer road trip.
If you’re in town with an EV, you theoretically never need to charge because you all have a full battery when leaving your house.
If you’re stopping after three hours on a longer trip, then you’ll likely need to attend to your biological needs at the same time, including just walking around and stretching your legs.
