91·22 days agoThe vast majority of coding isn’t making something new, it’s using existing patterns and tools and arranging them to fit a specific use case.
I would argue that arranging something to fit a specific use case is making something new.
Ask any designer how difficult it is to get a spec sheet from a client and meet their expectations. We’re expecting LLMs to suddenly solve this problem.
Llms may not be able to create a new framework or design pattern
Until they can do this, there is little threat to designers. There will be less grunt work, of course.
The sad reality is that code is just a form of language, and LLMs are good at learning languages.

17·6 months agoWho told you that you are bad? Can you trust their assessment? Was their assessment correct at the time of assessment? Have things changed since that assessment? Did they know everything about you to be able to make that assessment? Bad in what way? In every way? How could that be possible?
We barely understand ourselves, how can we rely on anyone to make that judgement?

4·6 months agoWe need to quit wasting time and resources on these type of shooters and bad people get them gone and let’s grow better as a civilization.
While I understand your position, I disagree. Instead of death, if we do our best to learn about these people and prevent further destruction we’ll all be better off (if that means life imprisonment, then so be it). I’m sure there are plenty of criminologists willing to curate that knowledge.
If we learn more about them, then we gain the tools to grow better as a civilisation as you put it.
