4·3 months agoThat’s what I’m planning to do and curious if Apple TV box is a good option. Fire stick is riddled with ads. Not sure about Roku and Apple TV.
My HiSense Vidaa OS TV shows ads for newer TV’s from their online store.
Is an Apple TV box a good platform choice to avoid this?
Autoit was great. The documentation is good and it’s very accessible.

I went to one of these wanky places in London and had to use my phone light to illuminate the menu sufficiently so I could see it, thanks to those shit light bulbs they insist on hanging everywhere. There are dozens of them and yet they give off no light… wtf is the point.
4·11 months agoI had an identical experience with some other networks. It was some time ago, so difficult to recall fully, but I believe restarting my phone regularly was helpful. It may just have been that patience was required for the network side changes to be propagated, but the issue was resolved after one of those restarts.

This video was helpful and simple. It’s no longer any hassle. I later implemented the same using my own domain and cloudflare.
4·1 year agoLondon Underground themed. Where possible the station name somewhat reflects the purpose of the machine. Some names are shortened.
- Bank: NAS server
- Barbican: Jellyfin server
- Paddington: Pi-hole
- Piccadilly: Raspberry pi
- Heathrow: Proxy manager
Wireless access points named as DLR stations.
Network hardware named as Underground lines.
Station names can be chosen based on their zone to indicate physical location. Zone 1 in the house etc.
If I learned anything from the film Weird Science it’s that anything bigger than a handful of inflation, you’re risking a sprained tongue.
My first thought was that ‘dog filler’ is a strange way to say dog food, and why the hell was it hot? 🐶
