Australia has something kind of like this. Essentially the number of votes a party gets influences how many seats they get to fill. These party members then vote on stuff with even weighting but obvs the more votes you have aligned to your faction the better.

1. Cubes are fast at sublight, they would have to remain in exactly the right spot for a long time for the death star to unload the main weapon, making theorising about the main weapon pretty meaningless.

2. The death star does not have shielding tech. This has all kinds of vulnerabilities.

They could have all crew teleported into space before the WO could say “huh?”

They could have ranks of borg assimilating entire critical compartments.

They could be tractorbeamed into the nearest planet or star.

Hell the cube could literally just fly back and forth through the star tearing it up from the inside.

Once shields go down fights are pretty much over and this fight starts like that.

Honestly if they could standardise the format the way monitors are named is S tier. All the major important specs right in the name, super easy to compare or find what you’re looking for

Hell yeah, love BAR. The discord group slowly started falling apart as we all fell out of love with SC2 but we’re back to regular matches every night now that they’ve been getting converted to it.

I am more of an AoE or SC2 style RTS player, as opposed to the Supreme Commander/Planetary Annihilation/BAR style but BAR really just makes RTS feel so good it doesn’t matter.

The Problem you describe applies to reddit also, however the solution on lemmy is in your question.

If a community gets scuttled on reddit, where are you going to go? How do you make the transition smooth enough that you’ll retain most of the community. You’re pretty up shit creek in this scenario.

On lemmy if the main community is scuttled, there are already 5 new communities set up, with the same UX/app/login creds. The members can transition easily and carry on being wonderfully niche.
