maybe we traded places
maybe we traded places
I didn’t but then they killed harambe and now its like I fell through a crack in reality and entered a shitty distopian novel.
I’ve had the thought of using a video game engine synth for electric cars. all of my neighbors have evs and they are so freakishly quiet and I’ve almost walked into them a few times when leaving through the alley while being a phone zombie
deliver the words that execs and shareholders want to hear and nothing else.
I only knew of kadokawa from anime stuff. Turns out they are massive and own a lot of companies.
8/10, would doublesnort coffee again
I snorted when I read this and my coffee got blown out my nose all over everything but also inhaled back via my nose and I was having a rough time. In short this nearly killed me
can’t those can only duplicate standard controller buttons? we need separately mappable extra buttons like L/R 4 and 5 on steam deck. more of them though. games fully supporting steam input can give you named input functions and in game it shows the button you set it to for prompts. it would be great for separating inputs in games where buttons are shared like jump and interact being the same button depending on if an interact prompt is up.
no L5,R5, touchpads though
tbf that is the exact image I have of whoever made the original gnu+linux post without the alpine comeback
so shattered horizon died, then someone else made it and it died again?
soulslike mechanics probably feel clunky to people that don’t really play soulslike. That said a bunch of things totally are clunky like cycling through spells and items which hasn’t significantly changed since dark souls, and for people that would rather take their time browsing the items walking while the menu is up is probably pretty jarring. Probably other things. It really has come a long way from demon souls but I honesly kinda prefer the jankiness of the older games.
outer worlds was basically a non bethesda 3d fallout game that wasn’t fallout, seemingly largely inspired by firefly in regards to the cast of characters and some aspects of the plot. you even randomly have your ship’s cargo hold filled with cows like the opening sequence of lne episode of firefly.
outer wilds is on my backlog and I know nothing apart from being told to play it repeatedly.
Many solid deals after doom scrolling the pages.
edit: actually im not even half way and I feel like every notable old game ever is on there at a huge discount, with some I am suspicious of with only the title to go off filling the space, except there is no space and its just packed. I need to sleep but I keep scrolling.
The witness 80% off working out to 10.89 irks me. significantly better games with more content are like 6 bucks. I guess when there are no achievements hinting at something being missed, you aren’t compelled to find and do the most bullshit timed challenge in any game I can remember, which increases its value… ?
disclaimer: I enjoyed the first 15-30 minutes or so of the witness then suffered through the slog of completing every last thing. Even my autistic friends that unintentionally did 100% speedruns didn’t like it which gave me the echo chamber I had desired the whole time playing.
even if I search ‘zoom platform’ its like the 7th result after zoom the video conferencing software. just the sad state of the internet these days. anyway I found it now and I’ll check it out after work.
I only remember the ea desktop app bugging out and having a terrible time trying to play with friends in multiplayer games
unless you mean zoom the chat with your coworkers thing, I can’t find it.
I thought in japan you never quit your job or face a shit time of not getting hired because they are all ‘black companies’ and wont hire you under the assumption you could quit
unlike nearly every other company in existence in any industry, they actually earned their position. It would be nice if they gave a bigger cut to devs, sure, but literally nothing is stopping devs from going on multiple platforms. I am also more forgiving of that due to their contributions to linux gaming, especially now that windows is continuing to go bonkers even after they reached the point that I could no longer tolerate it.
I only buy off steam, gog, and itch.io for some indie stuff as the rest are a terrible experience. And there’s the other part, other platforms need to be good for anyone to want to use them, because nobody will leave steam for a worse platform unless gabe dies and the supposed fuckery prevention plan fails and they go corporate and get an EA approved ceo. Even then it would likely be a slow burn like twitter and reddit. gog and itch have the minimalist store covered so even that is a hurdle. Maybe epic execs can pull themselves up by their bootstraps and figure out how not to suck, then people might use them for more than just hoarding free games they will likely never play.
I was not aware of whatever model psvita that is
