This is kinda my experience. If there’s an extension keeping track of schema and linting, it’s alright.

If you’re doing it by hand, well, good luck.

My personal favourite way to make configs is lua. But that’s neither here nor there.

Personally, I prefer duplicate keys to be eaten by the parser but I can see how it’d be beneficial to prevent them.

It’s inconsistent and annoying. Expressive, yes. Gets it’s job done, yes. Absolute nightmare of a spec, YES.

The fact that JSON is a subset of YAML should tell you everything about how bloated the spec is. And of course there’s the “no” funny things.

I used to use FTP for file transfer, nowadays I just start up a HTTPS server on the source machine and grab stuff from there.

Well, it was a spur-of-the-moment sort of thing when I went and looked at their site and it just had a bunch of names with no numbers there under the book art.

Went and checked now and site looks entirely different, and I can clearly see the issue numbers. I don’t know, maybe I hallucinated it.

It’s extra annoying to me because in my first language there’s separate words for “tea-tea” and “some boiled herbs-tea” that are commonly used, but thanks to lazy translation people are beginning to call everything “tea”.

I just change certain keybinds to be GIMP-like whenever I switch drawing programs.

N is the pencil, CTRL-SHIFT-A is deselect. There’s something else, but I can’t remember right now.

Well, in GIMP you need to do the “float selection” before you can manipulate what you’ve selected properly. In Clip Studio Paint, for example, you select, press ctrl, and just drag whatever you clicked on to move. Way more intuitive (until you do it expecting to interact with active layer and instead move something in the overlay or behind).

I do love how GIMP allows you to work with transparency though.

I feel like it’s a little disingenuous to call it “Doom Tech” when it’s modern GZDoom with proper full 3D and shit.

But it is true that it’s way more systemic than anything AAA in the genre.

I mean, I clearly remember firefox being terrible back when Chrome was just beginning to take off.

It was a lumbering monolith that ate all your ram and loaded pages at a glacial pace. Chrome was a multi-process revolution from that.

Then, firefox got it’s shit together and chrome got overloaded with corpo bullshit.

Yeah, the reason I got this one is basically “I couldn’t find a cheaper one”.

I don’t have a Brother to compare it to, but it works just fine to print and scan documents. I got it set up on wifi because I wanted to shove it into a corner where it won’t get in the way, and it’s working perfectly fine.

Although their android app sucks.

Laser printers are great, althought I’ve got me a Pantum because I don’t anticipate printing more than one page a month.
