It’s going to be awesome. Starfield and Phantom Liberty look amazing.

Sony buys exclusivity all the time and they are the market leader. It’s easier for them to buy it because, as the market leader, the developers won’t lose out on the majority of potential players by going exclusive.
But this creates a positive feedback loop where Sony can get lots of exclusives which leads more players to move to PlayStation due to the exclusives which helps Sony get even more exclusives etc.
The FTC should really investigate those deals.
It’ll probably be portable though. It’s competing more with the Steam Deck etc. than a PS5.
Kotick says PlayStation’s CoD revenue is 2x higher than Xbox CoD revenue; says PlayStation being successful has lead to CoD’s success too
This is why the paid exclusivity deals from Sony seem really anti-consumer, even if they are only temporary exclusivity (most sales happen at launch).
If you already have the most market share, and by quite a large margin (the Switch is bit of a different market), then it’s a lot easier for you to buy exclusivity deals because a developer will be losing a lot less sales by being exclusive to PlayStation than by being exclusive to Xbox.
Of course, these exclusivity deals then further grow PlayStation’s higher market share in a positive feedback loop and this ultimately leads to less competition and worse outcomes for consumers.
You can still buy the games outside of Game Pass.
Skyrim.
Wow, I’ve never played the Payday games, I thought it was just a wave shooter.
But this looks really cool!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, I started playing AC:Syndicate too. I just want to try to play the games I’ve been meaning to get to before Starfield and CP2077:Phantom Liberty release because then I will have no time at all for any other games.
It seems crazy, like Insomniac Games cost Sony $229M, so MSFT could have bought or built like 300 AAA studios for the price of ATVI.
I just really don’t see how it is worth it.
Do we actually intend to send humans to Mars in any reasonable timeframe?
This is probably organised crime, like a digital version of a protection racket, demanding money or the DDOS will continue.
Hopefully, they find the people responsible.
It looks cute, but it’s sad. I hope (s)he got better.
Haha, America moment. How are the management allowed to do this anyway?
That’s earlier than I was expecting.
I wish we had decent Arena Shooters like UT99. Splitgate was close.
I’m not sure this is true. Like imagine someone posts their address in a Lemmy post - I’m pretty sure that counts as PII and they have the right to request its deletion.
Altered Carbon covers this scenario quite well.
I think we’ll see another spike when the third-party apps are actually shut down.
Nice try, FBI.
