Because tracing dye is originally green. It’s just a happy coincidence that it ended up working for Saint Patricks day.
Is there a setting to turn this off?
I just hope they can fix the app. Compared to Chrome it really isn’t as good.
Except there isn’t a paywall and you can access a limited amount for free
And what does that matter? Millions of requests cost
Why don’t you go host it yourself then? And open it up to everyone.
Depends on the use case, for HPC c++ is still the benchmark.
For me the biggest issue is user engagement and missing communities.
I enjoyed /all to see news and discussion about that news, which isn’t really a thing on lemmy yet.
And i enjoyed small communities for the discussions and posts which are also not really a thing on lemmy yet.
Switched to cloudflare. I was already planning on it but I was waiting for my renewal. This forced my hang.
Cool to see. Does anyone have more context on these types of tests and how mullvad did?
Too much money. I feel bad for the instance devs because sync had probably made more money than them
I actively try to be better about this now, asking waiters or people you come across in every day life helps build the habit.
I think lemmy has a lot of growing pains before it can become a full fledge alternative for the masses. Updates need to happen, and a sustainable business model needs to come about for admins to cover costs
I really want to hear the answer to this
Can anyone eli5 this?
Detecting a mobile browser is easier than making every feature on your site mobile responsive, and confirming its a good mobile experience. Every add they show in the app could be shown in the browser, though I guess they would get access to notifications if that’s the case.
I get that this probably revolves around saving money and not developing a full website and app, but man do I hate it.
I think a big portion of it is the quality of the content and comments. Just not as much on there, and not as many of the small communities I would check.
This also hurts the worker…
The better option is don’t tip, force restaurants to pay more or lose employees.
