Right, you’re disputing it with your own personal experience. I can’t argue with that so I concede the point, no one has ever had it as bad as you. 30 years ago everyone could afford to heat their homes and go to the dentist and there were no migrants. This era is the dark recessed pit of humanity, woe to us who shall only ever see the shadow cast by the peaceful, prosperous generations who came before us!
The worst part about this trend of doomerism is how it feeds on it itself, denying all hope despite evidence to the contrary.
I guess the world really is ending then. No one in history has had it as bad as you, I’m so sorry.
They fact that there’s always been a lot of negative news and world ending crisises throughout history. Everyone always feels were in the end times but we keep making it through. Not only that, we consistently get through it and make things better in the process.
There are broken parts to the world but we are objectively better off now than at any other time in history.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by bad news, it’s time to adjust your news intake.
Maybe I don’t want a revolution. Maybe I just want a simple program that I can get news and follow a few people whos opinions I want to read.
But Naw I’m sure you’re right and everyone else just wants the wrong thing.
Blue sky is still the best alternative to twitter so far
Maybe not my absolute favourite, but this is a classic movie that stands the test of time.
Trump should have been in prison orange years ago. But there’s a better chance of him becoming president again. He’s protected by the American right wing and that is probably enough to keep him not only safe from legal consequences but to keep him in power. They won’t drop him until voters do.
Prove me wrong america
To a degree that was shown in the hot parts of the Cold War like the Vietnam War or the Congo Crisis where they provided logistical support. Like the US, or more accurately as a counter to them, they fiddled with countries for years to get outcomes that benefited the USSR ideology.
You could argue that it’s easier to shake up someone else than lead a full invasion force, but the US has learned that lesson too and followed that same play book. Invasion is harder than giving someone the tools to destroy themselves.
It is wild to see this. It’s amazing how quickly things change.
Yeah, Russia was incredibly powerful in its heyday, both in global influence and military power. Think about how people are worried about climate change now, then double it. That was the threat of nuclear war that kept people awake at night for decades.
After the time of the collapse we found out how empty a lot of their power was. How much of their achievements were less an unstoppable train and more of a rocket that couldn’t be refueled. They had power but they never figured out how to make it sustainable.
I’m the baby, gotta love me!
Hey, how’s your anxiety disorder today?
I’ve noticed the same. It’s possible that a lot of content creators left. It’s also possible that you and I have gotten used to not having the lowest common denominator stream of consciousness from the Reddit hive mind firehosed in our faces.
All of us reading this post feeling the same way can do our part by posting and commenting. If everyone who thinks they’re the only ones here start talking the emptyness disappears
I don’t know about that. Younger millenials that grew up with social media are having kids and I see them posting about it.
For better or worse, I think social media is here to stay in some form or another. Maybe theyll fight harder to put some limits on it but I’m skeptical
If this keeps happening to you specifically, maybe the problem is you
The photos I’ve seen of that movie makes me think the whole thing is a bet some studio exec lost
I’m still waiting for Snow White starring Terry Crews.
I have absolutely no idea how this franchise went from an undercover investigation of a chop shop to driving cars into space
