I use a old laptop with a 3rd gen Intel processor, probably worth less than $30 right now, with straight debian headless and it works like a charm organizing and streaming. I just avoid transcoding wherever possible.

Pfft… look at this guy… Next thing you’re gonna tell me it has a camera and I can see my grandma in that thing
I found a horrible finding recently. There are some critical infrastructure like power gens that run windows 10 in their hmi
In a world where people would spin up new websites just to piss off a billionaire, I have faith in humanity to build taller ladders for any walls the greedy corporations build.
Yup! There are levels of fucked up. At the basic level, if it’s accidentally set to override location check, there are easy solutions like force closing the app, uninstalling the app, turning off the phone.
Mind you, the app knows you force closed it. So it will let you know next time if you want to go to next level of strictness.
At the highest level of fuck up, you can provide admin access so that switching apps and physical buttons are all disabled. So you best bet would be to let the battery drain out and somehow muffle the speakers.
There is also another “fun” captcha. You pledge a small amount of money. If you don’t wake up, the money gets donated to fund sleep-related research.
I accidentally set it to extreme hard difficulty once (250 sheeps). It was a horrible morning that day
It’s location based. It gives you an option to turn off if you are not in you home location. Unless you explicitly disable that clause.
Have you heard of kitchen sink spaghetti? Well now you have. Enjoy the meatballs!
