I already communicate without speech, I’m doing it right now to someone I’ve never met and don’t know the identity of, who is receiving only the thoughts I wish to share. Why would I go beyond that?

Besides, I can also share thoughts with those I do know without speech. I text my wife when I don’t want the kids to hear our joke, I can even include pictures to get the message across if I don’t have the words.

My friends and family are feeling stirs of panic, and it has pushed many of us to start taking a more active role in making our voices heard.
